Incline Village crime logs: Burglar steals $19,000 in jewelry

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — Below are select incidents from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office press log for Incline Village/Crystal Bay for June 23-29.

June 23

At 12:19 p.m., in the 500 block of Ponderosa Ave., a deputy responded to a report of grand larceny. The female victim had a wedding ring stolen from her home. Possible known suspect(s).

June 24

At 3:02 p.m., at Village and Juanita, a report was taken for a vehicle that had been keyed overnight.

At 6:18 p.m., in the 900 block of Tahoe Blvd., deputies responded to a subject passed out in his vehicle. He was arrested for DUI.

At 11:45 p.m., at a business near the state line, deputies responded to a call of an underage female subject who had already been trespassed had returned. She was cited.

June 25

At a property on Somers Loop, a report was taken for residential burglary.

At 6:10 p.m., in the 1000 block of Sawmill Rd., deputies responded to a Returned Runaway call.

June 26

At 1:53 p.m., in the 900 block of Incline Way, a report of Burglary and Grand Larceny was taken. Approximate loss was $19,000 in jewelry, taken from a safe inside the home. Detectives are investigating the incident.

At 1:54 p.m., at a residence in Dyer Circle, a burglary and grand larceny report of missing cash and jewelry was taken by a known suspect.

June 27

At 1:40 a.m., at Tahoe Blvd. and Country Club Dr., a vehicle was stopped for traffic violations and the male driver was arrested for DUI, drug possession and traffic offenses. The two passengers were cited for drug paraphernalia.

At 10:40 p.m., at Tahoe Blvd. and Southwood Blvd., a vehicle was stopped for no headlights and driving into oncoming traffic. The female driver was arrested for DUI.

June 28

At 1:24 a.m., at a business near the state line, a male subject was arrested for trespassing as he did not qualify for a citation.

At 4:23 a.m., in the 900 block of Northwood Blvd., deputies responded to a report of a missing child. Child returned shortly after.

At 11:39 am, in the area of Ski Way and Tomahawk Trail, two separate concerned bystanders stopped to assist a young child wondering on Ski Way and waving at cars. They waited until deputies responded who observed a relative coming toward them. The child was returned home safely, and the door’s chain lock will be moved farther up the door, out of reach.

At 11:26 p.m., in the 700 block of Southwood Blvd., a deputy took a report of larceny of license plates.

June 29

At 10:44 a.m., at Highway 28 and Lakeshore Blvd., following a traffic stop for speeding, deputies arrested the driver for a failure to comply warrant. The male driver went to jail.

At 6:01 p.m., in the 600 block of Lakeshore Blvd., a deputy took a report of a non-injury traffic accident.

At 8:13 p.m., an online report of past tense hit and run was made. At a business in the 900 block of Tahoe Blvd., a truck backed into a parked car and sped away.
