North Tahoe crime logs: $8,000 in damage at possible marijuana grow house

TAHOE CITY, Calif. — Below is a selection of incidents from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office press log for June 1-12.

June 1

9am, 8600 Block, River, Truckee: Unknown suspect entered an unlocked residence and let all the animals out.

June 3

2:20pm, 8500 Block, North Lake Boulevard, Kings Beach: Male subject arrested for public intoxication and resisting arrest.

7:45pm, 8300 Block, Rainbow, Kings Beach: Pursuant to a report of a male subject not paying his cab fare, suspect was found in his RV still refusing to pay and heavily intoxicated. Suspect was arrested for “defrauding an innkeeper” and public drunkenness.

June 4

11:30am 700 Block, North Lake Boulevard, Tahoe City: Unknown suspect stole victim’s laptop computer out of her unlocked vehicle sometime the previous day.

June 5

9:15pm, 1700 Block, West Lake Boulevard, Tahoe City: Male subject was causing a disturbance and taken into protective custody for public intoxication.

June 6

8:45am, 8800 Block, Brook, Kings Beach: Sometime in the past 2 weeks, an unknown suspect stole tools from a victim’s carport.

3:30pm, 600 Block, National, Tahoe Vista: Unknown suspect spray painted graffiti on a victim’s building.

11:15pm, 100 Block, Tiger Tail, Olympic Valley: Male subject arrested for public intoxication during a disturbance call.

June 7

3pm, 6300 Block, west Lake Boulevard, Tahoma: Male subject arrested after providing several false names and birth dates to a peace officer (as well as being highly intoxicated). Another male was arrested for public intoxication after getting kicked off a boat and causing a disturbance on the pier.

June 9

7am, 8700 Block, Steelhead, Kings Beach: Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect smashed a victim’s windshield and keyed the entire circumference of his Jaguar.

12:20pm, 8700 Block, Steelhead, Kings Beach: Pursuant to a verbal argument over a loose dog, male subject arrested for throwing rocks at the victim (assault with a deadly weapon) and criminal threats.

June 10

10am, 5700 Block, Sacramento, Homewood: Possible known suspect caused $8,000 in damage to a rental home that may or may not have been used as a marijuana grow house.

3pm, 3400 Block, Edgewater, Tahoe City: Victim reported that she had a suspected counterfeit $1 bill in her possession.

3:20pm, 5300 Block, Wes Lake Boulevard, Homewood: Report taken for the search of a missing paddleboarder. Victim has been presumed a drowning victim in Lake Tahoe.

June 11

7:30pm, 6900 Block, Toyon, Tahoe Vista: During a report of a disturbance, male subject was arrested for public intoxication.

June 12

1am, 8500 Block, North Lake Boulevard, Kings Beach: Unknown suspect removed victim’s purse from the bar.

6am, 400 Block, Pineland, Tahoe City: Subject arrested for public intoxication after homeowner discovered intruder passed out in his residence.

1:30pm, 5000 Block, Northstar Drive, Truckee: Female arrested for public intoxication after getting aggressive with security.

4:30pm, 100 Block, Secline, Kings Beach: Report taken for a disturbance over dogs off leash.
