North Tahoe crime logs: Man arrested after bashing girlfriend in face with tree branch
TAHOE CITY, Calif. — Below is a selection of incidents from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office press log for Nov. 1-19 as provided to the Sierra Sun by PCSO officials.
At 4 p.m. on the 8100 Block of Steelhead in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect stole a laptop computer and 2 tablets from a public agency.
At 9:45 a.m. on the 9000 Block of Hartwood in Truckee, an unknown suspect broke the wooden gate accessing a homeowners’ subdivision.
At 11:05 p.m. at the corner of highway 28 and Deer in Kings Beach, a male subject was cited and released for transporting a large Ziploc baggie of marijuana.
At 1:30 p.m. on the 400 Block of Squaw Creek in Olympic Valley, an unknown suspect stole a victim’s jacket, wallet and 2 iPhones while attending a wedding.
At 4:30 p.m. on the 700 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect stole a victim’s mountain bike from her unlocked vehicle.
At 5 p.m. on the 8200 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect ordered pizza and a coke and left the restaurant without paying.
At 11 a.m. on the 8600 Block of Salmon in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect keyed 3 vehicles (all the way around the cars) parked in the victim’s driveway.
At 11:45 a.m. on the 500 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, during a parole search of a pedestrian, marijuana was found in violation of parole. The male subject was cited and released on a misdemeanor charge.
At 2 p.m. on the 1900 Block of Squaw Valley Road in Olympic Valley, a report was taken for violation of a restraining order and stalking of an ex-girlfriend.
At 12:45 p.m. on the 3200 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a male subject was cited and released for shoplifting a stunt drone from a convenience store.
At 3 p.m. on the 7700 Block of Forest Glen in Tahoe Vista, sometime overnight an unknown suspect forced entry into the victim’s residence and stole a computer, jewelry and other miscellaneous items.
At 9:45 p.m. on the 200 Block of Beaver in King Beach, four male subjects ensued in a physical altercation over a noise complaint between neighbors. All four signed citizen arrest forms against each other for battery.
At 8:15 a.m. on the 1200 Block of Whitehall in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect forcibly entered a victim’s home and ransacked the place, but nothing appeared to be missing.
At 4 p.m. on the 8600 Block of Cutthroat in Kings Beach, four male suspects broke into a house for sale to throw a party. Subjects were startled by potential buyers and fled the scene. One suspect suffered a large laceration to his head and was subsequently arrested at the hospital, where he showed up later.
At 11 a.m. on the 200 Block of Coon in Kings Beach, an ex-husband showed up at a victim’s residence uninvited. Report taken for violation of a restraining order.
At 4 p.m. on the 300 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a report was taken for threats made to a bartender.
At 4:45 p.m. at the corner of Highway 28 and Cove in Kings Beach, a report was taken for harassing phone calls to a business where the suspect’s ex-girlfriend works.
At 12:45 a.m. on the 3100 Block of Lake Forest in Tahoe City, a male subject turned over to CHP for suspected DUI.
At 11 a.m. on the 600 Block of Olympic in Tahoe City, a report was taken for harassing phone calls. The victim claims the suspect is calling and texting him death threats over money owed.
At 4 p.m. on the 400 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect stole 2 sweaters from a local retail business.
At 9:45 p.m. on the 2700 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a report was taken for a domestic dispute that turned physical. Deputies were unable to locate suspect.
At 3:15 a.m. on the 2600 Block of Hillcrest in Tahoe City, a female subject was reportedly causing a disturbance at a residence. She was taken into protective custody due to her high level of intoxication.
At 6:45 a.m. on the 600 Block of Coon in Kings Beach, sometime overnight, an unknown suspect stole personal items out of a victim’s unlocked vehicle.
At 10 a.m. on the 9800 Block of Pier in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect entered a victim’s unlocked trailer and stole $1,400 worth of tools.
At 1:45 p.m. at the North Tahoe Regional Park area in Tahoe Vista, a male suspect was arrested for domestic violence after hitting his girlfriend in the face with a tree branch.
At 11:15 p.m. on the 8300 Block of Trout in Kings Beach, a male subject was arrested for public intoxication after refusing to obey basic orders and being aggressive to a peace officer.
