North Tahoe crime logs: Man chucks can of ice tea at girlfriend’s head

Below are select incidents from the Placer County Sheriff's Office press log for Aug. 15-31.

August 16

At 3 a.m. on the Highway 267 at Dolly Varden Avenue in Kings Beach, a female was pulled over for an inoperable headlight and was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. She was turned over to CHP for suspected DUI.

At 12 p.m. on Highlands View at the Ritz Carlton Drive in Truckee, an unknown suspect stole 8 real estate signs over a 6-week period.

At 12:30 p.m. on the 1000 Block of Martis Landing in Truckee, an unknown suspect stole personal items out of the victim's unlocked vehicle sometime overnight.

August 17

At 2 p.m. on the 200 Block of Squaw Peak Road in Olympic Valley, an unknown suspect scratched victim's vehicle sometime overnight.

At 10 a.m. on the 6900 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, victim's money went missing from her wallet while she was staying in a motel room.

August 18

At 5 p.m. on the 3100 Block of Edgewater Drive in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect vandalized victim's boat tied to a buoy in the water.

August 19

At 2:30 p.m. on the 8700 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect forged several checks on victim's bank account. Loss of over $1,000.

At 9:30 p.m. on the 700 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a male subject was pulled over for veering off the road and hitting a road sign. The subject was turned over to CHP.

August 20

At 7:45 p.m. on the 8500 Block of Brook Street in Kings Beach, a male subject was turned over to CHP for suspected DUI.

August 21

At 3:15 a.m. on Highway 28 at Highway 267 in Kings Beach, a male subject was pulled over for driving erratically — very slow, frequent stopping in the roadway and stopping at a green light. The subject was turned over to CHP for DUI.

August 22

At 4:30 a.m. on the 7800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, a male subject threw a full can of iced tea at his girlfriend's head, causing injury. The suspect also threatened to rape and kill the victim. The male subject was arrested for domestic abuse.

At 10 a.m. on the 400 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect kicked out the windows of two doors at a business.

At 2:45 p.m. on the 1400 Block of River Road in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect stole a "trail counter" from the bike path, belonging to a local government agency.

August 23

At 2 a.m. on Highway 28 at Highway 267 in Kings Beach, a male subject was found stumbling in the roadway and was subsequently arrested for public intoxication.

August 24

At 12 a.m. on the 2000 Block of Northstar Drive in Truckee, a female hit her girlfriend in the face during an altercation. No arrest was made and no prosecution was desired.

At 9:45 p.m. on the 1000 Block of Holly Road in Tahoe City, a male subject was arrested for domestic violence after kicking his girlfriend in the chest and legs.

August 26

At 10:30 a.m. on the 8400 Block of Levon in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect stole items from victim's unlocked vehicle sometime overnight.

At 11:15 a.m. on the 300 Block of Woodview Court in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect cut the lock on the bike rack and stole two of victim's bicycles. Loss of $14,000.

August 27

At 12 a.m. on Highway 28 at Beaver Street in Kings Beach, a male subject was turned over to CHP for suspected DUI.

At 11:30 p.m. on the 2900 Block of River Road in Tahoe City, report was taken for negligent discharge of a firearm. Two were ensued in a physical altercation. Afterward one male grabbed his gun, went outside and fired in the direction of 7-Eleven.

August 28

At 2:45 p.m. on the 7700 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, an unknown suspect vandalized victim's vehicle.

At 3 p.m. on the 100 Block of West Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect stole $2,500 worth of personal items, including a MacBook Pro, from victim's vehicle.

At 3:30 p.m. on the 1100 Block of Lanny Lane in Olympic Valley, an unknown suspect stole victim's bicycle from his porch.

August 29

At 2 p.m. on the 200 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect fraudulently obtained $9,000 of victim's money through bank transfers and forging checks.

At 11:45 p.m. on Highway 28 at National Avenue in Tahoe Vista, a male subject was arrested for DUI.

August 30

At 12:15 p.m. on the 100 Block of Chipmunk Street in Kings Beach, a female confronted another female who was trying to access the private pier. The female suspect became verbally abusive and threw her drink on the reporting party.

At 1:15 p.m. on the 400 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect stole victim's $6,000 bike which was locked to his vehicle.
