North Tahoe crime logs: Man hits female in face with hot dog
Below are select incidents from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office press log for June 1-19.
At 11:45 p.m. on Highway 80 in Truckee, a female was pulled over for speeding and was subsequently turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspicion of DUI.
At 5 p.m. on the 900 Block of Country Club in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect obtained victim’s credit card number and charged $900 worth of goods.
At 1:30 a.m. on the 4000 Block of River Road in Olympic Valley, a male subject was arrested for domestic violence.
At 6 p.m. on the 8600 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, a male subject was arrested for possession of concentrated cannabis, pursuant to a Parole search.
At 12:45 a.m. on the 8500 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, officer took a report for battery. Due to a heated argument, a male threw a hot dog, which hit a female in the face. The female desired prosecution, but was later deemed unfounded.
At 8:30 a.m. on the 6900 Block of Toyon in Tahoe Vista, an unknown suspect siphoned $80 worth of gas from victim’s vehicle sometime in the past three nights.
At 11 a.m. on the 800 Block of National in Tahoe Vista, an unknown suspect vandalized the baseball field at the Regional Park.
At 11:30 a.m. on the 200 Block of Pino Grande in Tahoe Vista, an unknown suspect charged two plane tickets on victim’s credit card.
At 4 p.m. on the 5900 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Carnelian Bay, an unknown suspect entered victim’s vacation home and stole thousands of dollars of household items. The theft occurred sometime in the past three months.
At 5 p.m. on the 8700 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect drove into the pressure washer nozzle, causing $700 in damage.
At 6 p.m. on the 8300 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, after receiving a report of a male sleeping on the beach, officers arrested the subject for public intoxication.
At 8:45 a.m. on the 7800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, a male subject was arrested for indecent exposure. A transient male was contacted at a business with pants so badly torn, that they exposed his genitalia and buttocks. The deputy offered to buy the subject a pair of pants, but the subject refused and was taken into custody.
At 8:15 p.m. on the 800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, two males got into a verbal argument which quickly escalated. One male hit the other in the head with a 2×4 and fled. Later, at a different location in Tahoe City, the suspect and another male ensued in an altercation — this time the victim punched the suspect in the head, fearing the suspect would hit him with a 2×4, which he was again holding in his hands. The suspect again fled the scene, went home and was subsequently arrested for public intoxication. Charges were declined for the assault with a deadly weapon violation.
At 12 a.m. on the 300 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a female was turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspected DUI.
At 11 a.m. on the 100 Block of Tiger Tail in Olympic Valley, sometime overnight, an unknown suspect stole two laptops out of two separate victim’s unlocked vehicles parked at the same location.
At 11:30 a.m. on the 300 block of Shoreview in Tahoe City, sometime in the past year, an unknown suspect entered victim’s vacation home and removed a pair of antique skis.
At 5:45 p.m. on the 100 Block of West Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect kicked in the headlight on victim’s vehicle.
At 2:30 a.m. on the 8000 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, a female was contacted on a consensual police check. She was determined to have several outstanding warrants out of Lassen County. The female was arrested, and 60-70 syringes used for methamphetamine were confiscated, and her child was placed in the custody of CPS.
At 2:30 a.m. on the 7800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, an unknown suspect stole a barbecue and some fruit from a business.
At 8:30 a.m. on the 7800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, a male subject was found passed out in front of a business and was taken into custody for public intoxication.
At 5:30pm on Highway 28 at Secline in Kings Beach, deputies located a vehicle that was reportedly driving reckless in the area. The subject was determined to be under the influence of a prescription medication and was arrested for DUI.
At 7 p.m. on the 700 Block of West Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a male subject was turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspected DUI after he crashed his vehicle causing injuries to two people in two other vehicles.
At 12:15 a.m. on the 1900 Block of Squaw Valley Road in Olympic Valley, a female suspect was arrested after hitting her ex-boyfriend in the head with the heel of her high heel shoe.
At 4:45 p.m. on the 8300 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect took $100 bill from the cash register on June 15.
At 8:15 a.m. on the 8500 Block of Loch Levon in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect opened a credit card in victim’s name and made $400 in charges.
At 10:15 p.m. on the 8500 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect groped a female victim as she was walking home from work. The male suspect also took her wallet, but was interrupted by an unknown witness and fled the scene dropping the wallet on the ground.
At 11:45 p.m. on the 7800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, two underage males were stopped to a vehicle code violation. A case of beer was discovered during a consensual search of the vehicle. The minors admitted to stealing the beer from a grocery store and were issued a juvenile citation.
At 7:30 a.m. on the 7900 Block of Lincoln Green in Tahoe Vista, an unknown suspect removed $140 worth of personal items out of victim’s unlocked vehicle.
At 12:15 p.m. on Highway 28 at Lake Forest in Tahoe City, a male subject was turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspected DUI.
At 12:30 p.m. on the 1700 Block of Sandy Way in Olympic Valley, an unknown suspect entered victim’s vacation home and stole two TVs and a microwave.
At 4:45 p.m. on the 8200 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect spray painted graffiti on an ice box and trailer sometime in the past two days.
At 11:45 p.m. on Coon Street at Brook Avenue in Kings Beach, a female suspect was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
