North Tahoe crime logs: Man hits roommate in head with beer bottle, bites his arm
TAHOE CITY, Calif. — Below is a selection of incidents from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office press log for Dec. 10-24, as provided to the Sierra Sun by PCSO officials.
December 10
At 9 a.m. at 2501 North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a female subject turned herself in at the sheriff’s office for an outstanding warrant out of Placer County. She was cited and released.
At 11:45 a.m. at 2501 North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a male subject turned himself in at the Sheriff’s office for an outstanding warrant out of Placer County. He was cited and released.
December 12
At 6 p.m. on the 5000 Block of Northstar Drive in Truckee, an unknown suspect stole two duffel bags containing a GPS and personal items out of a victim’s unlocked vehicle sometime during the day.
At 9:30 p.m. on the 300 Block of Talvista in Tahoe City, a male subject was arrested for domestic battery.
December 16
At 8:30 a.m. on the 2500 Block of Hillcrest in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect obtained a victim’s personal information and opened a wireless cellphone account.
At 10:30 a.m. at 2501 North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a male subject was cited and released on a Placer County warrant.
December 17
At 3:30 a.m. on the 8300 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, a male subject was found to be sleeping in his vehicle in a park after hours. The subject admitted to possessing an illegal blowgun and marijuana inside the vehicle. He was subsequently arrested for the listed charges as well as a Nevada County warrant.
At 10 a.m. on the 1900 Block of Squaw Valley Road in Olympic Valley, an unknown suspect shoplifted $600 worth of merchandise from a retail store.
At 1 p.m. on the 1900 Block of Squaw Valley Road in Olympic Valley, three suspects stole a $1,200 patio couch on a drunken escapade in the middle of night. Suspects were identified days later, admitted to the crime and returned the sofa sheepishly. No prosecution desired.
December 19
At 3:45 a.m. on the 1000 Block of Lanny in Olympic Valley, a male suspect was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after hitting his roommate with a beer bottle several times in the head and biting his arm.
December 22
At 8 p.m. on the 200 Block of Forest Glen in Olympic Valley, it was reported that an unknown suspect stole a victim’s snowblower from her backyard. The incident occurred sometime in the past month.
December 23
At 10 p.m. on the 600 Block of Midiron in Tahoe Vista, a report was taken for a mutual battery between adult brother and sister.
December 24
At 1:45 p.m. on the 400 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a male subject threw an unknown female to the ground after discovering her in his vehicle. Male thought she was trying to steal his truck, but she said she was just turning down the blaring stereo, which he refused to quiet himself. During the melee, the female grabbed the male’s goggles off his head, damaging them. No prosecution desired.
