North Tahoe crime logs: Man hurls Christmas tree after pulling victim’s hair
Below are select incidents from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office press log for Dec. 16-31.
December 16
At 5 p.m. on the 8200 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, two unknown subjects shoplifted a basket full of merchandise and fled the scene.
December 18
At 1 a.m. on the 8400 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, an intoxicated male subject refused to leave the bar and was arrested for trespassing after staff signed a citizen’s arrest from.
At 8:15 p.m. on the 8800 Block of Salmon Street in Kings Beach, report was taken for a battery that occurred between two males. A pregnant female was injured trying to stop the fight.
At 11:45 p.m. on the Highway 28 at Lakewood in Tahoe City, a subject was arrested for driving with a suspended driver’s license.
December 19
At 3:15 p.m. on Tinker’s Knob in Olympic Valley, two snowmobilers were reported missing. Tahoe Nordic Search and Rescue personnel subsequently located them.
At 10:30 p.m. on the 9900 Block of Cove in Kings Beach, report was taken for violation of restraining order. Victim’s ex-boyfriend called her more than 30 times in a span of 30 minutes.
December 21
At 2:15 p.m. on the 300 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, report was taken for a road rage situation. No arrest was made.
At 4:30 p.m. on the 7600 Highlands View in Truckee, male subject threw a rock and broke the front door window. $1,000 worth in damages.
December 22
At 12:15 a.m. on the 200 Block of Granite Chief Road in Olympic Valley, a female subject was arrested on an outstanding Placer County warrant.
At 1:30 p.m. on the 7900 Block of Forest Glenn in Tahoe Vista, report was taken for domestic violence. Male subject choked his girlfriend causing pain.
December 23
At 12 a.m. on the 7700 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, pursuant to a traffic stop, male subject was arrested for possession of a concealed weapon and controlled substances for sale.
At 12:30 p.m. on the 8300 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect stole victim’s coat from his motel room which contained $500 in cash.
At 9:30 p.m. on the 1700 Block of Pine Avenue in Tahoe City, pursuant to a report of a domestic disturbance, male subject was arrested for a warrant out of Tennessee as well as domestic violence.
At 9:30 p.m. on the 8400 Block of Rainbow Avenue in Kings Beach, two very intoxicated male subjects claim they were assaulted by an unknown party, but would not provide further information and refused prosecution.
December 24
At 10 a.m. on the 200 Block of Hidden Lake in Olympic Valley, unknown suspects cut down several trees on the Homeowner’s Association property.
December 25
At 7 p.m. on the 300 Block of Coon Street in Kings Beach, report was taken for a domestic dispute. Male subject grabbed victim’s hair and face and threw the Christmas tree to the ground. Charges are pending.
At 8:30 p.m. on the 5000 Block of Northstar Drive in Truckee, sometime during the day, an unknown suspect stole victim’s purse that she left unsecured in a commercial building.
At 10 p.m. on Bear at Rainbow Avenue in Kings Beach, a male subject was arrested on 6 different Placer County warrants. He spent Christmas night in jail.
December 26
At 8:15 p.m. on the 5000 Block of Northstar Drive in Truckee, an intoxicated male subject tried to start a fight with the security and was subsequently arrested for drunk in public.
December 27
At 12:30 a.m. on the 8700 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, incident report was taken for a physical fight that occurred between four males. Two were gone on arrival, the remaining two were uncooperative.
At 8:30 p.m. on the 83000 Block of Trout Avenue in Kings Beach, a male subject was obstructing the deputy during a warrant service and was subsequently booked for warrants and resisting arrest.
December 28
At 7:15 p.m. on the 2000 Block of Northstar Drive, pursuant to a drunk male in the village, male subject was arrested on outstanding warrant out of Orange County.
At 8 p.m. on Highway 28 at Brassie Avenue on Tahoe Vista, a male subject was turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspected DUI.
December 29
At 1:15 a.m. on the 8500 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect punched victim in the face while he was sitting at the bar.
December 30
At 12:30 a.m. on Highway 267 at Speckled Street in Kings Beach, a male subject was turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspected DUI.
At 2 a.m. on Highway 28 at Lake Forest in Tahoe City, a male subject was arrested for suspected DUI. Male was uncooperative so an emergency warrant was issued by a judge in order to draw blood at the hospital.
At 3 a.m. on the 7800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, a male subject was arrested for public intoxication after refusing to leave a business.
At 8 a.m. on the 100 Block of Mackinaw Road in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect opened a cellphone account in victim’s name and ran up a $1,000 bill.
December 31
At 9:30 a.m. on the 1800 Block of Wet Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a female subject was found passed out in her vehicle in 25-degree weather. The subject was taken into protective custody for public intoxication.
