North Tahoe crime logs: Man on drugs reports fear of 20 men waiting for him outside his home
Below are select incidents from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office press log for June 1-15, as provided to the Sierra Sun by PCSO staff.
A man was arrested for reportedly being drunk in public near Lakewood and Panorama in Tahoe City around 5:30 p.m.
A female subject was cited for possession of methamphetamine after being contacted by deputies in her parked car in Kings Beach.
A man was taken into protective custody around 11 p.m. at Block River in Tahoe City due to his reportedly high level of intoxication.
After a report of three males attempting to sell cocaine to a female at a street corner, deputies contacted two men at the corner of Trout and Coon streets in Kings Beach and arrested one for reportedly being in possession of a controlled substance.
Around 9:30 p.m. on the 7400 block of Highlands View, deputies responded to a report of a physical altercation involving a reportedly intoxicated male. Deputies were able to locate the male and make an arrest on charges of public intoxication and resisting arrest.
Deputies responded to the 8500 block of Brook Avenue around 12:45 a.m. following a report of 20 men waiting outside a suspect’s home. The suspect was taken into custody for reportedly being under the influence of a controlled substance. None of the 20 men were present at the time deputies made contact with the suspect, according to Placer County Sheriff’s Office officials.
Deputies placed a Tahoe Vista man under arrest in his home on the 1200 block of Kings Way after he reportedly broke his wife’s arm.
A man was taken into protective custody around 1:20 a.m. in Tahoe City on charges of “extreme public intoxication,” according to PCSO officials.
Around 10 p.m. in the vicinity of the 2500 block of Lake Forest Road, deputies were dispatched after Cost Guard officials reported a disturbance. Upon arrival, deputies report a man had fallen off of a dock into the water. The man was taken into protective custody on charges of public intoxication.
A man was arrested in Tahoe City around 4:45 p.m. outside a drinking establishment on charges of public intoxication and an outstanding warrant.
