North Tahoe crime logs: Man on LSD bites friends; woman with meth says FBI gave it to her

TAHOE CITY, Calif. — Below are select incidents from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office press log for July 1-15, as provided to the Sierra Sun by PCSO staff.

July 3

Deputies were dispatched to the 8700 block of Brockway Vista in Kings Beach around 10 p.m. following a report of a stolen purse and bicycle from a private residence. Upon further investigation, deputies report two male suspects had allegedly stolen two bicycles while in a drunken stupor. Deputies report both bikes and all belongings were returned to their owners.

July 4

Reports of a violent male who allegedly took LSD sent deputies to the 6000 block of Rocky Point Circle in Truckee around 10 p.m. According to the Sheriff’s office, the man allegedly bit two of his friends. The man was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and lacerations he received while reportedly rolling and lying in an area covered with sharp rocks.

July 5

Responding to a report of a man walking around a store talking to himself for 45 minutes, deputies responded to the Fairway Drive store in Tahoe City around 10:20 p.m. The suspect was seen again later that evening driving what was later determined to be a stolen car, deputies report. The man was subsequently arrested.

A woman was arrested for allegedly being under the influence and in possession of a controlled substance around 11 p.m. on the 8500 block of Brook Avenue in Kings Beach. While under arrest, the woman reportedly admitted to deputies to being an undercover FBI agent and that she was supplied methamphetamine as part of her job, according to deputies. Deputies report the woman could not supply evidence to substantiate her claim.

July 6

Deputies responding to a report of a woman trespassing at an inn on the 6300 block of West Lake Boulevard in Homewood report the woman had stayed longer than her reservations allowed and there was a discrepancy with her credit card. When the woman became uncooperative with deputies, she allegedly made her way to her rental car, which was determined to be a stolen vehicle from Sacramento. Deputies report the woman paid for her room in full before she was arrested for allegedly being in possession of a stolen vehicle and resisting arrest.

July 8

Around 11:50 p.m. on the 500 block of North Lake Blvd. in Tahoe City, deputies report a woman was placed in protective custody due to her alleged high level of intoxication.

July 10

Deputies discovered a man passed out on the ground around 11 p.m. on the 8300 block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach. Deputies determined the man to be passed out due to an alleged high level of intoxication and placed him in protective custody.

July 11

After a 1:30 a.m. report of a man stripping in the aisle of a business along the 7800 block of North Lake Blvd. in Kings Beach and refusing to leave, deputies placed the man into protective custody for allegedly being drunk in public.

July 12

A man was arrested on the 900 block of Rusty Road in Kings Beach around 2:15 a.m. when deputies report he was discovered trying to break into a residence in an allegedly intoxicated state.
