North Tahoe crime logs: Man, woman fight over food, who pooped in bathtub
Below are select incidents from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office press log for March 1-10.
At 12:30 a.m. on the 600 Block of 267 in Kings Beach, a male subject was arrested for public intoxication after causing a disturbance at a residence.
At 8 a.m. on the 6600 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, a male subject was turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspected DUI.
At 10:15 a.m. on the 1200 Block of Mineral Springs Trail in Tahoe City, report was taken for alleged tampering with a vehicle. Unknown suspect loosened the lug nuts on victim’s tires sometime in the past two days and victim’s tire came off while driving on the highway.
At 6 a.m. on the 8500 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, an unknown female was captured on surveillance video shoplifting approximately $100 worth of merchandise from a business.
At 11 a.m. on the 11300 Block of Silver Fir Drive in Truckee, unknown suspect stole victim’s medications out of the car within a five-minute time period.
At 8 p.m. in the Village at Squaw in Olympic Valley, a male driver was stopped for having no taillights on his vehicle. The male was subsequently turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspected DUI.
At 5:45 p.m. on the 800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, female became enraged after the victim hit her car with a shopping cart. The female suspect started kicking the victim’s car and it escalated to a physical altercation. The suspect was arrested for battery and felony vandalism.
At 12:30 a.m. on the 8600 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, male subject was arrested on two outstanding warrants out of Placer County.
At 4 p.m. on the 200 Block of Granite Chief Road in Olympic Valley, an unknown suspect stole victim’s hot tub in the past week.
At 12 a.m. on the 1900 Block of Squaw Valley Road in Olympic Valley, unknown suspect used a rock in a failed attempt to break into an ATM.
At 12:30 a.m. on Highway 28 at Mackinaw Road in Tahoe City, a male subject pulled into oncoming traffic almost causing a collision. Deputy observed this occur and determined he had been drinking. The subject was turned over to California Highway Patrol for DUI.
At 12:30 a.m. on the 700 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, victim was assaulted by an unknown suspect, but was intoxicated and uncooperative and refused to elaborate on the occurrence.
At 2 a.m. on the 100 Block of River Road in Tahoe City, female driver was pulled over for swerving and eventually was turned over California Highway Patrol for suspicion of DUI.
At 11:55 a.m. on the 2600 Block of Alpine Meadows Road in Tahoe City, two male subjects were cited for possession of alcohol under the age of 21. A small amount of marijuana was also seized and booked for destruction.
At 1:45 p.m. on the 200 Block Carnelian Bay Avenue in Carnelian Bay, consensual contact was made with an underage female sitting in her car. A strong odor of marijuana wafted from the vehicle. During a search, alcohol, marijuana and methamphetamine were located. The female was cited and released.
At 8 p.m. on the 8600 Block of Steelhead Avenue in Kings Beach, report was taken for a domestic disturbance between brother and sister.
At 11:15 p.m. on Highway 28 at Beaver Pond in Tahoe Vista, female driver was pulled over for a vehicle code violation and was subsequently arrested for DUI.
At 1:45 a.m. on Highway 89 at Sequoia Avenue in Tahoe City, a female driver was pulled over for a vehicle code violation and was subsequently arrested for DUI.
At 3:35 a.m. on the 7800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, pursuant to a report of a drunk female yelling racial slurs and causing disturbance in a taxi cab, the subject was arrested for public intoxication.
At 7:30 a.m. on the 2500 Block of Lupin Lane in Tahoe City, victim woke up to find a very intoxicated male standing in his bedroom. The male suspect refused to leave so the victim and his roommate tied up his legs until deputies arrived. The suspect was arrested for trespassing and possession of presumptive cocaine.
At 6 p.m. on the 1800 Block of Village East in Olympic Valley, male suspect entered business through the employee entrance and stole money from victim’s purse.
At 8:15am on the 1300 Block of Sequoia Avenue in Tahoe City, sometime overnight unknown suspect broke out the back windshield and taillights of victim`s vehicle.
At 5:15 p.m. on the 7600 Block of Highlands View in Truckee, report was taken for mutual battery between roommates. Male and female roommates started a fight over food and one accused the other of defecating in the bathtub.
