North Tahoe crime logs: Stolen GoPro, comic books, climbing equipment and more
TAHOE CITY, Calif. — Below are select incidents from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office press log for October 1-18.
October 2
At 12:45 a.m. on the 8300 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, a male driver was pulled over for an equipment violation. One passenger was on searchable probation, and a baggie of methamphetamine was located in the vehicle. The driver admitted it was his and he was subsequently arrested.
At 8:30 a.m. on the 200 Block of Winding Creek in Olympic Valley, pursuant to a search warrant, a male subject was arrested for possession of two different types of controlled substances.
At 5:45 p.m. on the 2501 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a male subject turned himself in at the Placer County Sheriff’s Office for two outstanding warrants.
October 3
At 8 p.m. on the 8700 Block of Minnow Avenue in Kings Beach, a report was taken for a dispute over the sale of a vehicle. The dispute became physical but neither party desired prosecution.
October 4
At 1:45 a.m. on the 700 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, report was taken for assault and battery. Two intoxicated subjects ensued in a physical fight, one party fled the area, and the other party was injured but refused medical or prosecution.
At 4 p.m. on Dollar Hill at Observation Drive in Tahoe City, a male subject was found parked in the middle of the road with the car running. The subject was subsequently turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspected DUI.
At 7 p.m. on the 1900 Block of Squaw Valley Road in Olympic Valley, a male subject was arrested for slapping his girlfriend in the face causing a bloody nose.
October 5
At 10 a.m. on the 8400 Block of Dolly Varden Avenue in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect stole $300 worth of comic books and DVDs from victim’s vehicle sometime overnight.
At 9 p.m. on the 1400 Block of West Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, pursuant to a report of a male subject breaking windows in the reporting party’s residence, subject was arrested for public intoxication. The reporting party declined to press charges for vandalism.
October 7
At 2:45 p.m. on the 7600 Block of Highlands View in Truckee, an unknown suspect stole $1,100 worth of climbing equipment from victim’s unlocked vehicle sometime overnight.
October 8
At 2:30 p.m. on the 11400 Block of Deerfield Drive in Truckee, a male subject was cited and released for possession of a controlled substance.
At 4 p.m. on the 8400 Block of Golden Avenue in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect stole victim’s passport left on the seat of his unlocked vehicle.
October 9
At 1:30 a.m. on the 8700 Block of Loch Levon Avenue in Kings Beach, report was taken for a physical fight that occurred between two roommates. Neither party desired prosecution.
At 12:30 p.m. on the 2000 Block of Northstar Drive, an unknown suspect stole victim’s GoPro camera from the back of his truck.
At 1:30 p.m. on the 1400 Block of Davos Court in Tahoe City, a male subject entered victim’s residence unlawfully and refused to leave. The suspect left as deputies arrived and a slow speed vehicle pursuit ensued. The suspect drove all the way to South Lake Tahoe before heeding to law enforcement. The suspect was arrested in South Lake Tahoe for numerous charges.
October 11
At 12:45 a.m. on Highway 28 at Sahara Drive in Carnelian Bay, a female subject was turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspected DUI.
At 5 p.m. on the 1300 Block of Regency in Tahoe Vista, an unknown suspect stole tools from victim’s locked vehicle.
At 6:30 p.m. on the 700 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect stole victim’s purse from her unlocked vehicle.
October 14
On the 10000 Block of Pine Cone Drive in Truckee, report was taken for violation of probation. A female was caught drinking alcohol in violation of her probation. The report will be forwarded to the District Attorney for review.
At 11 p.m. on the 1300 Block of Snowflake Avenue in Tahoe Vista, the victim let female suspect borrow his vehicle four months ago and she never returned it.
October 16
At 3:30 a.m. on Highway 267 at Highlands View in Truckee, pursuant to a traffic stop, male subject was cited and released for on outstanding Placer County warrant.
October 17
At 4:30 p.m. on North Shore, an unknown suspect stole victim’s wallet sometime on the bus ride from Tahoe City to Incline.
At 8:30 p.m. on the 8600 Block of Golden Avenue in Kings Beach, a male subject was arrested on Placer County warrant.
At 11:30 p.m. on the 8500 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, a male subject was arrested on a felony out of state warrant.
October 18
At 3:30 a.m. in Kings Beach, report was taken for possible domestic violence. Female victim was arrested for DUI in Truckee after leaving her boyfriend’s house because of a domestic dispute.
At 10:30 p.m. on the 200 Block of Chipmunk Street in Kings Beach, incident report was taken for threats made by victim’s ex-boyfriend.
