North Tahoe crime logs: Stuffed moose head, chicken potpie stolen in separate incidents

Below are select incidents from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office press log for January 16-31.

January 16

At 12:30 a.m. on Highway 28 at Fox Street in Kings Beach, a male subject was turned over to CHP for suspected DUI.



At 2 a.m. on the 1300 Block of Regency Way in Tahoe Vista, an incident report was taken for a verbal argument between boyfriend and girlfriend.

At 11 a.m. on the 600 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect stole victim’s adult sized tricycle from his place of business.



At 2:30 p.m. on the 10800 Block of Pine Cone Way in Truckee, a suspect approached victim while walking in her neighborhood, punched her in the face and fled.

At 3 p.m. on the 11600 Block of Kleckner Court in Truckee, an unknown suspect stole victim’s medication from his residence.

January 18

At 12:30 a.m. on the 1900 Block of Squaw Valley Road in Olympic Valley, officers responded to a report of a subject fighting with security. Male subject was taken into protective custody for public intoxication.

January 19

At 12 a.m. on the 7800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, pursuant to a citizen report of possible drunk driver, female subject was turned over to CHP for suspected DUI.

At 1:30 a.m. on Bear at Rainbow Avenue in Kings Beach, a male subject was pulled over for driving the wrong direction on a one-way street. The subject was turned over to CHP for DUI.

At 3 a.m. on the 8500 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, a female was kicked and punched by an unknown female suspect. The victim desires prosecution.

January 20

At 11 a.m. on the 10700 Block of River Road in Truckee, an unknown suspect entered victim’s residence and stole cash and jewelry.

At 4:30 p.m. on the 8500 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, victim’s jacket and passport were stolen from a bar the night prior.

January 22

At 12:15 a.m. on Golden at Coon Street in Kings Beach, a male subject was turned over to CHP for suspected DUI. Male passenger was highly intoxicated and also arrested.

At 10:30 a.m. on the 1800 Block of West Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect removed a stuffed moose head sometime overnight.

At 7:15 p.m. on the 7800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, a male subject was arrested for shoplifting chicken potpie while drunk in public.

At 7:30 p.m. on the 7800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista a male subject was turned over to CHP for suspicion of DUI.

January 24

At 10 a.m. on the 1300 Block of Regency Way in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect obtained victim’s ATM card information and charged $2,500 on eBay and at a casino.

At 8 p.m. on the 300 Block of Lake Forest in Tahoe City, during a probation search several weapons were found and seized.

January 25

At 5:30 p.m. on the 8700 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, a possible known suspect stole victim’s cellphone from a business. When confronted, the alleged suspect denied taking it.

January 26

At 11 a.m. on the 100 Block of Tiger Tail in Olympic Valley, a suspect broke into victim’s locked vehicle sometime overnight and made charges on her credit card the next day.

January 28

At 11:30 a.m. on the 400 Block of Chipmunk Street on Kings Beach, a suspect broke into victim’s house recently, stayed the night, watched TV, slept in victim’s bed and stole his chain saw.

At 2 p.m. on the 7800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, a male subject was cited and released for shoplifting a bottle of alcohol and possessing medication without a prescription.

At 10 p.m. on the 400 Block of Old County Road in Tahoe City, two family members ensued in a verbal argument, which turned physical. Main aggressor taken into custody for violation of parole.

At 11:30 p.m. on the 300 Block of Elizabeth Drive in Tahoe City, pursuant to a verbal confrontation between roommates, one male was arrested for assault with serious bodily injury.

January 29

At 2:45 a.m. on Highway 267 at Dolly Varden Avenue in Kings Beach, a male subject was turned over to CHP for suspicion of DUI.

At 9:45 p.m. on the 8800 Block of Salmon Avenue in Kings Beach, a male subject was intoxicated at the time of a probation search and was subsequently arrested for violation of probation.

January 30

At 9 a.m. in Tahoe Vista, an unknown suspect is attempting to rent out victim’s vacation home on Craigslist.

At 1:30 p.m. on the 100 Block National Avenue in Tahoe Vista, an unknown broke two windows of victim’s vacation home sometime in the past six months.

At 3:30 p.m. on the 6500 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, during a welfare check, it was determined the mother had a $20,000 warrant out of Tehama County. The child was left in the custody of his grandmother.

January 31

At 12:20 a.m. on the 600 Block Goldfield Drive in Tahoe City, a female suspect was arrested for domestic violence after causing visible injuries to her fiancé.

At 2:30 p.m. on the 7000 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, an unknown suspect stole victim’s wallet containing $300 cash.
