North Tahoe crime logs: Suspect shoplifts roll of sausage, 30-pack of beer

Below are select incidents from the Placer County Sheriff's Office press log for Sept. 1-30.

September 1

At 1:45 a.m. on the 8500 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, a male subject was arrested for public intoxication after getting kicked out of a bar.

At 2 a.m. on the 8500 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, a male subject was arrested for public intoxication and resisting arrest.

At 9:30 a.m. on the 200 Block of Shoreview Drive in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect cit the wires of victim's sprinkler system.

At 10:30 a.m. on the 400 Block of Fox Street in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect stole $450 worth of Crossfit gear out of an unlocked vehicle.

At 5:30 p.m. on the 100 Block of West Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect stole a chandelier from victim's unlocked vehicle.

September 3

At 12:15 p.m. on the 2501 of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a male subject turned himself in at the Sheriff's Office for an outstanding warrant.

At 5:45 p.m. on the 400 Block of Squaw Creek Road in Olympic Valley, victim reported $1,200 cash missing from the trunk of his vehicle after being parked in valet over the weekend.

September 4

At 1:45 a.m. on the Highway 28 on East Agatam Avenue in Tahoe Vista, a female driver was pulled over for speeding and was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol. The suspect was also booked on two Placer County warrants.

At 9:30 a.m. on the 2501 on North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a male subject turned himself at the Sheriff's Office on a Placer County warrant.

At 2:15 p.m. on the 800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, an unknown male subject shoplifted a roll of sausage and a 30-pack of beer from a local grocer.

At 3:30 p.m. on the 200 Block of Basque Drive in Truckee, an unknown suspect stole two Diamond tennis bracelets from victim's kitchen countertop.

September 6

At 9 p.m. on the 5000 Block Ophir Street in Carnelian Bay, a male subject was contacted during a disturbance call and was subsequently arrested on an Orange County warrant.

At 11 p.m. on Highway 28 at Lardin Way in Tahoe City, a male driver was pulled over for almost causing an accident. The subject was turned over to CHP for DUI. A female passenger was also very intoxicated and unable to follow simple directions. She was ultimately arrested for drunk in public.

September 7

At 12:30 a.m. on Highway 28 at Fabian Way in Tahoe City, a male subject was arrested for suspected DUI.

At 6:15 a.m. on the 100 Block of Alpine Meadows, an unknown suspect entered victims' residence while they were sleeping and removed $1,300 worth of personal items.

September 9

At 5 p.m. on the 400 Block of Squaw Creek Road in Olympic Valley, an unknown suspect stole victim's ATM card out of her purse and charged $24 worth of alcohol from a local convenience store.

September 10

On the 6500 block of Wildwood Road in Tahoe Vista, a female suspect entered victim's residence and stole his cellphone. The suspect took the phone in a jealous rage because the victim was dating other women. The female later returned the phone, no prosecution was desired.

September 11

At 11 a.m. on the 2000 Block of West Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a male subject was arrested for possession of marijuana and cocaine during a search warrant on the suspect's roommate.

At 11 a.m. on the 700 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect broke the front doors and took furniture and rugs worth $3,200.

September 12

At 2:15 a.m. on Highway 28 at Pino Grande Avenue in Tahoe Vista, a female was arrested on two warrants out of Orange County.

At 10 a.m. on the 3100 Block of Edgewater Drive in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect stole victim's paddleboard from the beach.

At 2:45 p.m. on the 100 Block of Basque Drive in Truckee, a male subject was arrested for burglary. The male subject was caught occupying his girlfriend's parents'vacation home without permission. The suspect reportedly took other females to the house under the guise it was his own. The suspect also drank the victim's wine and used the hot tub.

At 9:45 p.m. on Highway 28 at Onyx Street in Carnelian Bay, a male subject was arrested for DUI.

September 14

At 9 p.m. on the 400 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, two male subjects were arrested for breaking the glass door of a business. Both subjects were also booked for public intoxication.

September 17

At 12:30 p.m. on the 2501 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a female suspect was seen on video surveillance stealing a case of water. The female was contacted days later and she stated she honestly didn't realize she didn't pay for the water. The suspect promised to pay the next day and the business dropped the charges.

At 9:30 p.m. on the 7800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, a female subject was witnessed walking out of the grocery store with a basket full of merchandise. The suspect was arrested for burglary.

At 10 p.m. on the 7800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, two shoplifters were arrested in the parking lot while in possession of stolen items.

September 18

At 9:30 a.m. on the 200 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect stole victim's bike from the beach. The bike was recovered the same day from another deputy.

At 10 a.m. on Barker Pass on West Shore, an unknown suspect vandalized victim's vehicle while she was out on a hike.

September 19

At 11 p.m. on Highway 28 at Speedboat Avenue in Kings Beach, pursuant to a traffic stop, male driver was pulled over for a vehicle code violation and ultimately arrested for three outstanding warrants out of Placer County.

September 20

At 12:45 a.m. on Highway 28 at Burton Creek in Tahoe City, a male subject was turned over to CHP for suspected DUI.

September 21

At 4:45 a.m. on the 8500 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, a male subject was taken into protective custody after he was yelling and dry heaving in a very intoxicated state.

At 11 a.m. on the 400 Block of Bear Street in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect broke the windshield of victim's vehicle.

At 11 a.m. on the 5000 Block of Northstar Drive in Truckee, an unknown suspect stole victim's $7,500 bicycle that was left unsecured.

At 12:30 p.m. on the 9900 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, two subjects were drinking together when the male subject became angry and threw victim's phone, shattering completely. The victim signed a citizen's arrest and the suspect was cited and released.

At 11:30 p.m. on Donner at Shelter Road in Tahoe Vista, two parties reported stumbling upon three small fires in the woods. The fire department responded and extinguished the fires.

September 22

At 12 a.m. on the 100 Block of Marlette Drive in Tahoe City, two male subjects were involved in a physical altercation. The suspect hit the victim in the face multiple times. The victim signed a citizen's arrest form and the suspect was booked for battery.

At 12:30 a.m. on the 3000 Block of Lake Forest in Tahoe City, a male subject was turned over to CHP for suspected DUI.

September 23

At 9 a.m. on the 1300 Block of Canterbury Drive in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect stole a pair of sunglasses from victim's unlocked vehicle sometime overnight. Another victim in the same block also reported having items stolen from his unlocked vehicle.

September 24

At 1:30 a.m. on the 300 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a male subject flagged down a deputy to advise him he had two Placer County warrants. The subject was taken into custody and was booked.

September 26

At 11 a.m. on the 5600 Block of Dakar Road in Carnelien Bay, an unknown suspect obtained victim's bank information and made $180 in online charges.

At 11 a.m. on the 9900 Block of Lake in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect cut down trees on victim's property.

At 7 p.m. on Allenby at Regency Way in Tahoe Vista, a male subject was arrested for attacking his mother and punching his grandmother in the eye. The suspect was highly intoxicated and possibly under the influence of a controlled substance.

September 27

At 2:15 a.m. on the 8100 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, a male subject was taken into protective custody for public intoxication.

September 28

At 6 p.m. on the 85999 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, a female subject was taken into protective custody for public intoxication after causing a disturbance at a local bar.

At 11:45 p.m. on the 7800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, a male subject was arrested for trespassing in a business after being asked to leave due to his constant shoplifting habits.

September 30

At 2 a.m. on Highway 28 at Star Harbor in Tahoe City, a male subject was turned over to CHP for suspected DUI.

At 11:30 p.m. on Agatam at Winona Avenue in Tahoe Vista, a female subject was turned over to CHP for suspected DUI.
