North Tahoe crime logs: Suspected drunk woman drives car into PDQ market

TAHOE CITY, Calif. — Below are select incidents from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office press log for December 1-16.

December 1



At 9:30 a.m. in Tahoe City, a friend of the family picked up the mail and took victim’s check and deposited it.

At 11:15 a.m. on the 700 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect stole a TV stand from a business.



At 1 p.m. on the 700 Block of Chipmunk Street in Kings Beach, a female suspects her male roommate of stealing $100 and her diamond necklace.

December 2

At 1:15 a.m. on the 2700 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a female suspect was turned over to CHP for suspected DUI.

December 4

At 11:30 a.m. in the 1700 Block of Christy Hill Road in Olympic Valley, an unknown suspect took victim’s keys to her vacation home and held a party there.

At 2 p.m. on the 5700 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Carnelian Bay, two males were arrested for shoplifting a case of lighters and Lake Tahoe stickers.

December 5

At 11 p.m. on the 5900 Block of Dodowah Road in Carnelian Bay, a female was arrested for punching her boyfriend in the face.

December 7

At 3 a.m. on the 2000 Block of Bear Creek in Tahoe City, a male subject was taken into protective custody for public intoxication.

December 8

At 5:30 a.m. on the 6800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, pursuant to a report of a verbal dispute, a male subject was found drinking in violation of his out of county Probation terms. No arrest was made.

At 11:45 a.m. on Secline Beach in Kings Beach, a male subject was taken into protective custody for public intoxication.

December 9

At 2:30 a.m. on the 3200 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a male subject was pulled over for a vehicle code violation and found with a controlled substance for sale. The male subject was arrested on five felony drug charges and a misdemeanor.

December 10

At 4:20 p.m. on the 400 Block of Bonanza Drive in Tahoe City, a report was taken for a violation of a restraining order.

At 8 p.m. on Bristlecone Street at Hillcrest Avenue in Tahoe City, a female was pulled over for erratic driving and was subsequently turned over to CHP for suspected DUI.

At 11:30 p.m. on the 2700 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a male subject walked into victim’s residence and punched him in the face and also damaged some items on his way out. The victim signed a citizen’s arrest form and the suspect was later located at a bar and was arrested for battery.

December 11

At 11:15 p.m. on the 8600 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, a male subject was found in the roadway and was taken into protective custody for public intoxication.

At 2 p.m. on the 200 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, victim was defrauded by a client who paid for catering services via Western Union. Western Union later flagged the account as fraudulent. Loss of $2,000 was reported.

At 2:20 p.m. on the 8100 Block of Steelhead Avenue in Kings Beach, report was taken for brandishing a weapon. Male subject talked to suspect about parking in a handicapped spot and an argument ensued. The male suspect pulled a knife and then fled.

December 12

At 1:30 a.m. on the 1900 Block of Squaw Valley Road in Olympic Valley, a male entered a bar after it was closed. The chef asked the subject to leave after he spit on the floor. The subject then took a ladle and smashed the glass door on his way out. The male subject was later arrested for public intoxication and vandalism.

At 6:30 p.m. on the 6800 Block of West Lake Boulevard in Tahoma, a female crashed her vehicle into the PDQ market and was subsequently turned over to CHP for DUI.

At 7:45 p.m. on the 700 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a male subject was arrested for two outstanding warrants and possession of a stolen license plate which was affixed to his vehicle.

December 13

At 4 p.m. on the 3800 Block of Summit in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect stole $4,000 worth of stereo equipment from victim’s house sometime since August.

December 14

At 12 a.m. on the 2300 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a male subject was arrested for suspected DUI.

December 16

At 12:30 a.m. on the 2300 Block of River Street in Tahoe City, a male subject was arrested on two out of county warrants.

At 3 a.m. on Deer Street at Loch Levon Avenue in Kings Beach, a male subject was found stumbling down the streets of Kings Beach. The subject was arrested for public intoxication.
