North Tahoe crime logs: Traffic stop leads to citations for Molly, meth

Below are select incidents from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office press log for March 10 to April 15.

March 11

On the 8800 Block of Speckled Avenue in Kings Beach, an incident report taken for harassing text messages from a victim’s ex-boyfriend.

March 12

At 8 p.m. at the intersection of Coon and Trout streets in Kings Beach, a female subject was arrested for 2 outstanding warrants out of Placer County.

At 9 p.m. on the 700 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a female subject was taken into protective custody for public intoxication after causing a disturbance at a local eatery.

March 13

At 10 a.m. on the 5000 Block of Northstar Drive in Truckee, an unknown suspect broke into a victim’s vehicle and stole her wallet.

March 14

At 12:30 p.m. at the highway 28/89 intersection in Tahoe City, a male subject was reported to be stumbling in the roadway. Upon contact, the subject was attempting to urinate on the sidewalk in broad daylight.

At 10 a.m. at the 1900 Block of Squaw Valley Road in Olympic Valley, a report was taken that an unknown suspect stole tools from a victim’s vehicle a week earlier.

March 15

At 2 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 267 and Tiger Street in Kings Beach, a male subject arrested on suspicion of DUI.

At 7 p.m. on the 8600 Block of Brook Avenue in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect broke into the victim’s residence and appeared to be living there since late 2014.

At 7:15 p.m. on Olympic Boulevard in Truckee, a male subject was arrested on a Placer County warrant.

March 16

At 4 p.m. at a location in Tahoe City, a female was cited and released on a Placer County warrant.

March 17

At 5:15 p.m. at the highway 28/267 intersection in Kings Beach, a male subject arrested for public intoxication.

March 18

At 12 p.m. at the 800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect stole a victim’s backpack containing climbing gear.

Au 1:30 p.m. on the 1900 Block of Alpine Meadows Road in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect stole personal items out of a victim’s vehicle while she went on a hike.

March 19

At 5 p.m. on the 200 Block of Bear Street in Kings Beach, during a probation search, a female subject was arrested on two outstanding Placer County warrants. Also, a male subject was arrested for child endangerment, and another female was booked for possession of a meth pipe.

March 21

At 3:30 a.m. on the 1900 Block of Squaw Valley Road in Olympic Valley, a male subject was taken into protective custody for public intoxication.

At 2:30 p.m. at the 200 Block of Squaw Peak in Olympic Valley, three subjects were cited and released for being a minor (under 21) in possession of alcohol.

At 2:38 p.m. at the Kings Beach State Recreation Area, a male subject was taken into protective custody for public intoxication after discovering him passed out in the public bathroom.

At 8:30 p.m. at the 7800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, an unknown male subject stole an unknown amount of merchandise from a business.

March 23

At 1 p.m. at the 800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a female suspect was seen leaving a business with a cart full of groceries without paying.

At 7:30 p.m. at the 5000 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Carnelian Bay, a female subject was turned over to CHP for suspected DUI.

March 24

At 1 a.m. at the 3200 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a female driver was pulled over for a vehicle code violation and was determined to be under the influence of alcohol.

At 10 a.m. at the 1800 Block of Squaw Valley Road in Olympic Valley, an unknown suspect removed a victim’s wallet from her backpack while she was working.

March 25

At 2:30 p.m. at the 3800 Block of Dinah Road in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect used two victims’ social security numbers to file fraudulent tax returns.

At 6 p.m. at the 7800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, a male subject was cited and released on an outstanding Placer County warrant.

March 26

At 8 a.m. at the 2900 Block of Polaris Drive in Tahoe City, several victims reported paying thousands of dollars to an alleged homeowner to hold weddings at the suspect’s property. The suspect was evicted years ago when the property was foreclosed upon. The suspect refused to return the money to any of the victims. These cases were determined to be of a civil nature.

At 5:30 p.m. at the intersection if Highway 28 and Anderson Road in Tahoe Vista, pursuant to a traffic stop, two male subjects were cited and released on possession of methamphetamines and the drug “Molly.”

March 27

At 7:30 a.m. at the 200 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, pursuant to a traffic stop, a male subject was arrested on a Placer County warrant and possession of methamphetamines.

At 1 a.m. at LakeForest/Meadowbrook in Tahoe City, a male subject crashed his vehicle and ran from the scene. The suspect was located and turned over to CHP for suspected DUI.

March 29

At 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 28 and Lardin Way in Tahoe City, a male subject was arrested for felony evading after refusing to yield during a traffic stop.

March 31

At 1:15 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 89 and Ward Creek Boulevard in Tahoe City, a ale subject was arrested for suspected DUI.

At 4:30 p.m. at the 4000 Block of Coyote Fork in Truckee, an unknown suspect stole a victim’s unsecured bicycle from her condo.

April 1

At 4:30 p.m. at the 400 Block of Squaw Peak in Olympic Valley, an unknown suspect obtained a victim’s credit card number to make purchases in North Carolina.

April 2

At 2 a.m. at the intersection of 28 and Sahara Drive in Carnelian Bay, a male subject was cited and released on a Sacramento County warrant.

At 8 a.m. on the 2700 Block of West Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect stole several tools from a jobsite. There are multiple victims.

At 5:30 p.m. in Shirley Canyon in Olympic Valley, a search was initiated for a couple who requested a rescue because it would be dark soon. Victims were found uninjured.

April 3

At 3:45 p.m. at the 8300 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, a victim reported that she suspected a female stole $77 in cash from her room off the table.

At 8:20 p.m. at the 100 Block of West Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a male subject was arrested for public intoxication and resisting arrest.

April 4

At 10 a.m. at the 1900 Block of Squaw Valley Road in Olympic Valley, an unknown suspect stole victim’s skis from locker room.

At 12 p.m. at the 700 block of North Shore Boulevard in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect forced entry into victim’s vacation home and rummaged through the house. Nothing WAS taken.

AT 5:45 p.m. at the intersection of Rainbow Avenue and Bear Street in Kings Beach, during a probation search, a male subject was determined to be drinking against his probation terms. Subject was arrested for public intoxication and probation violation. Another male was also arrested on a Placer County warrant.

April 6

At 9 a.m. at the 2500 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a report was taken for violation of a court order due to the father refusing to return the child back to the mother in a timely manner.

At 11:30 a.m. at the 600 Block Olympic Drive in Tahoe City, a male subject was arrested on a felony warrant out of South Carolina.

At 2 p.m. at the 800 Block of Village Road in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect used victim’s credit card info to make a purchase at Nordstroms.

At 8 p.m. at the 7800 Block of Squaw Valley Road in Olympic Valley, unknown suspects left a business without paying for a pizza and soda.

April 7

At 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 267 and Commonwealth in Kings Beach, a male victim reported that his suspects his ex-girfriend’s new boyfriend of throwing a rock through the back window of his vehicle.

At 10:45 a.m. at the 9800 Block of Yacht Street in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect filed a tax return under a victim’s name and personal info.

At 1 p.m. at the 8200 Block of Steelhead Avenue in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect broke into victim’s van and stole the battery.

At 1 p.m. at the 1900 Block of Squaw Valley Road in Olympic Valley, an unknown suspect stole a victim’s wallet containing $300 cash from a locker room.

April 9

At 2 p.m. at the 1900 Block of Squaw Valley Road in Olympic Valley, three ski area vouchers were confiscated by security after having an unusual amount of vouchers redeemed in 1 day. No one witnessed the involved parties selling any tickets.

At 5 p.m. at the 100 Block of River Road in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect hacked a victim’s email and sent messages to clients, requesting $20,000 to be wired to a bank account.

At 7 p.m. at the 7800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, an unknown suspect stole a bottle of Fireball whiskey from a business. It was later determined to be a juvenile who was responsible for several local thefts.

April 12

At 1:30 p.m. at Hurricane Bay in Tahoe City, a male subject was arrested for domestic violence after getting into an argument over parking, and the situation escalated.

At 2 p.m. at the 1900 Block of Squaw Valley Road in Olympic Valley, an unknown suspect stole a victim’s sunglasses from the employee locker room.

April 14

At 1 a.m. at the 1200 Block of River Road in Tahoe City, a male subject turned over to CHP for suspected DUI.

At 8 a.m. at the800 Block of National Avenue in Tahoe Vista, an unknown suspect stole a victim’s checkbook from her unlocked vehicle.
