North Tahoe crime logs: Unruly man booted from Ritz Carlton, Lake Tahoe
TAHOE CITY, Calf. — Below is a selection of incidents from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office press log for Dec. 1-9, as provided to the Sierra Sun by PCSO officials.
At 8 a.m. on the 8700 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, sometime overnight, an unknown suspect painted graffiti on a wooden fence and Dumpster.
At noon on the 800 Block of Cabin Creek in Truckee, a possible known suspect tampered with victim’s vehicle by letting the air out of his tires.
On the 8300 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, officers wrote an incident report for a disturbance that occurred between 2 males who have a long history of disagreements.
At 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 28 and Sahara in Carnelian Bay, a male subject was turned over to CHP for suspected DUI.
At 3 p.m. on the 400 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, an unknown male and female entered a retail business and shoplifted more than $500 in merchandise.
At 8:15 p.m. on the 8700 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, a female subject was arrested for public intoxication and threatening a peace officer.
At 3:15 p.m. on the 1100 Block of Oxford in Tahoe Vista, two tenants sublet a house from a male suspect who said he was on the lease. Homeowners showed up to discover that their house was illegally rented and were unaware of the original suspect.
At 2 p.m. on the 1300 Block of Regency in Tahoe Vista, a possible known suspect egged and keyed victim’s vehicle sometime overnight.
At 4:30 p.m. on the 700 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect forged a check written on the victim;s business account; however, the bank did not pay out the suspect.
At 4:30 p.m. on the 1200 Block of Heights Lane in Tahoe City, a victim sent $2,500 to a suspect in an Internet scam. The suspect claimed she was moving to the area and was looking for a babysitter. She asked the victim to help facilitate the move and sent her a check for $2,700. The victim then sent $2,500 to the “movers.” The original check from the suspect was canceled, however, and victim’s was out all the money.
At 10 p.m. on the 8500 Block of Brook in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect entered a victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole his personal paperwork.
At 2:15 a.m. on the 100 Block of River in Tahoe City, pursuant to a report of a female passed out at the doorstep of a closed business, the female was arrested for public intoxication and an outstanding warrant.
At 5 a.m. on the 13000 Block of Ritz Carlton Highlands in Truckee, an unruly male subject was asked to leave the hotel and was not allowed back. He returned and refused to leave. Male was issued a citizen’s arrest and booked for trespassing.
