Truckee Police log: DUI suspect allegedly nearly collides with patrol car

TRUCKEE, Calif. — Below are select incidents from the Truckee Police Department’s press log for Sept. 15-22, along with previously unreported incidents.

SEPT. 15



A reported argument between a Cedar Point man and his female neighbor turned physical when responding officers were dispatched to the scene, to reportedly quell the altercation. According to police, when the man became physically resistive with officers, the man was arrested and booked at the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office.

SEPT. 19



Officers were dispatched to Donner Pass Road around 3:30 p.m. in response to reports of a person acting in a “manic state,” according to police. The suspect was found and taken to a nearby hospital for medical evaluation. According to police, a urine test conducted at the hospital showed the individual was under the influence of methamphetamine. The person was cited and released while still receiving care in the hospital, according to police.

A driver was arrested on suspicions of driving under the influence after nearly colliding with a patrol car, police report. The driver was booked into Truckee jail.

SEPT. 21

A person was arrested after being determined by officers to be allegedly under the influence and in possession of a controlled substance, according to police.
