Truckee Police Log: Officers discover woman ‘wandering in forest’ alone
Below are select incidents from the Truckee Police Department’s press log for Oct. 13-20, along with previously unreported incidents.
OCT. 13
Truckee Police Department officers responded to the report of a two-vehicle, non-injury accident involving a Town of Truckee vehicle around 4 p.m. A report was taken and no arrests were reported.
OCT. 14
A routine vehicle code violation stop resulted in the arrest of a driver due to an apparent outstanding misdemeanor warrant, police report.
OCT. 16
Police report officers pulling over a vehicle due to the headlights being off around 11:58 p.m. Further investigation led officers to determine the driver of the vehicle was allegedly under the influence of alcohol. The driver was subsequently arrested without further incident.
OCT. 17
A woman found reportedly “wandering in the forest” by police around 1:57 p.m. was cited for an out-of-county warrant. According to police, the woman was given a ride to Reno.
Police report observing a driver driving a vehicle over a curb along Ponderosa Drive around 10:29 p.m., then into oncoming traffic, was found to be allegedly under the influence of alcohol. The driver was subsequently arrested, according to police.
