Truckee Police logs: 2 urinating in public arrests in one day

TRUCKEE, Calif. — Below are select incidents from the Truckee Police Department’s online press log for Aug. 2-11.

August 3

At 2:34 p.m., officers investigated an incident of found property on the shoreline of Donner Lake. The owner subsequently was located, and the property was returned.



August 4

At 5:15 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, officers investigated a hit and run collision between a parked car and an unknown suspect.



At 7:43 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, a subject was contacted by an officer regarding a possible outstanding warrant. It was determined the subject was on DUI probation, and that the subject was under the influence of alcohol; case forwarded to the DA’s office.

At 8:29 p.m. at an undisclosed location, a subject repeatedly tried to talk to officers handling a traffic stop. The subject was arrested on suspicion of drunk in public.

At 9:10 p.m. at an undisclosed location, a vehicle was stopped for code violations and the driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

August 5

At 6:54 a.m. on Waters Way, officers took a report of vandalism to a vehicle.

At 8:48 a.m. on Colton Creek Road, officers took a report of tires being slashed on a vehicle.

At 9:23 a.m. on Lake Avenue, an elderly subject called and made a threat. The elderly subject later stated it was all a joke; report taken.

At 3 p.m. a dog was reported at large. Upon investigation, police determined the dog may have been abandoned under suspicious circumstances. Report forwarded to Washoe County Animal Control for additional follow-up.

August 6

At 2:15 a.m., a subject was found urinating in front of a business and was arrested on suspicion of drunk in public.

At 3:15 p.m. on Old Brockway Road, officers responded to a report of a subject inside a residence where he did not belong. Subject was found nearby and arrested on suspicion of drunk in public.

At 10:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a drunk subject stumbling down commercial row. Subject was located urinating in front of a business and subsequently arrested on suspicion of drunk in public.

August 7

At 1:03 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend, in which the girlfriend spit on the boyfriend. Both parties had been involved in a verbal dispute earlier in the day. Female arrested on suspicion of domestic battery.

At 3:55 p.m., officers responded to a location in Nevada County jurisdiction where a suspect had broken into a locked vehicle and stole multiple items.

At 10:05 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, a subject was found passed out due to intoxication and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of drunk in public.

August 11

At 1:23 a.m., during the investigation of a traffic crash at an undisclosed location, a driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

At 9:21 a.m. on Prosser Dam Road, a resident called about a street race that had allegedly occurred the night before in front of her house, as well as to report a regular problem with speeding vehicles.

At 2:59 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, officers took a report of a vehicle pulling a motor home that had collided with a parked car.

At 9:36 p.m., a subject stopped for code violations was found to be under the influence of alcohol, under 21 years of age. Minor was cited and released to responsible adult.
