Truckee Police Logs: Derogatory sign found at old Truckee Cemetery

TRUCKEE, Calif. — Below are select incidents from the Truckee Police Department’s press log for Oct. 30 to Nov. 7, along with previously unreported incidents.

Oct. 30

At 7:33 a.m. at an undisclosed location, an injured deer was dispatched.



At 11:30 a.m. at an undisclosed location, officers responded to a single-vehicle rollover collision. The driver was transported to the hospital for evaluation.

Oct. 31



At 12:23 a.m. on Wolfgang Road, an information report was taken for a domestic dispute.

At 1:19 a.m. at an undisclosed location, a vehicle was stopped for a code violation. The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

At 7:28 a.m. on Archery View, officers responded to and mediated a family dispute.

At 9:19 p.m. on Reynold Way, a report was taken for a pellet shot through the window of a parks vehicle.

At 9:50 p.m. at an undisclosed location, a vehicle was stopped after nearly driving off the roadway. The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Nov. 1

At 1:04 a.m. at an undisclosed location, officers stopped a vehicle for driving on the wrong side of the road. The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

At 10 a.m. on Rue Ivy Way, officers took a report that an unknown suspect scratched a victim’s vehicle multiple times.

Also at 10 a.m. on Rue Ivy Way, officers took a separate report of paint being scratched from a victim’s vehicle.

At 2:234 p.m. at an undisclosed location, officers contacted a suspicious vehicle parked on the side of a road. The occupants were found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana, with the intent to sell. Driver was arrested.

At 11:10 p.m. on Prosser Drive, during a domestic dispute, one party broke the rear window of the other party’s vehicle. Subject cited and released for vandalism.

Nov. 2

At 9:55 a.m. at an undisclosed location, officers responded to a single-vehicle collision with a power pole.

Nov. 3

At 2:45 p.m. on Pioneer Trail, a mother reported her intoxicated minor was out of control; the minor was arrested for public intoxication.

Nov. 4

At 9:09 a.m., a handmade derogatory sign was found attached to the fence at the old Truckee Cemetery; sign was directed to TPD.

Nov. 5

At 10:08 a.m. on Deerfield Drive, police were dispatched to an intoxicated subject who was falling and could not stand; subject was arrested for public intoxication.

At 4:30 p.m. on Tahoe Drive, a woman called police to report a domestic violence restraining order had been violated. Police took a report and forwarded it to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.

Nov. 6

At 2:25 a.m. on Martis Valley Road, officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute involving an assault. Suspect fled prior to arrival. Report forwarded to the District Attorney’s office.

Nov. 7

At 12:16 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, officers were contacted by two parties involved in a verbal argument over a traffic issue. Officers mediated the situation and and took a report.

At 1:46 p.m., officers were contacted by a Northwoods Boulevard resident who reported someone stole and used the suspect’s credit card to charge roughly $12,000 worth of merchandise.

At 3:44 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, a driver was stopped on suspicion of drunken driving. The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
