Truckee Police Logs: Drunk man on probation for past DUI crashes into cyclist
TRUCKEE, Calif. — Below are select incidents from the Truckee Police Department’s online press log for May 24-30.
At 8:06 a.m., a report was taken after a Sudsbury Circle resident’s checking account was compromised and fraudulent checks were used.
At 9:27 a.m. on Schaffer Drive, a report was taken for a theft of a computer from an open garage.
At 9:47 a.m. on Donner Pass Road, a report was taken regarding felony vandalism occurring to a fence. There is no suspect info.
At 5:47 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, a subject was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication.
At 6:51 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, a subject was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
At 8:33 a.m. at an undisclosed location, a vehicle was stopped for code violations. The driver was cited for driving on a suspended license.
At 2:34 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, officers took a lost property report from a woman who said she placed her purse on the top of her vehicle and then drove away.
At 3:45 p.m., a subject turned in an found cell phone. Report taken.
At 11:47 a.m. on Brockway Road, a victim was contacted after she had a verbal dispute with her ex-boyfriend.
At 3:59 p.m., police took a courtesy report for the Las Vegas Metro PD regarding alleged identify theft to commit pawn fraud.
At 6:15 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, a subjected was contacted and arrested for outstanding warrants.
At 9:30 a.m. Deerfield Drive, a person reported as suspicious was contacted by police who determined the subject was under the influence of a controlled substance. The subject was arrested without incident.
At 12:18 p.m., a reporting called and said his two sons and their friend had gone missing while they camped next to the Truckee River. The three juveniles were later located; they had left the camp to visit Boca Reservoir.
At 5:45 a.m., a suspicious person was contacted at an undisclosed location and found to be in violation of his post release community supervision terms out of Tuolumne County. In formation forward to Tuolumne County.
At 7:37 p.m., officers arrested an 11-year-old juvenile boy on arson charges for allegedly starting multiple vegetation fires.
At 8:07 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, officers responded to a report of a vehicle versus bicycle collision. An investigation determine one of the involved parties was operating a vehicle allegedly under the influence of alcohol — and the subject was also allegedly in violation of his probation from a previous DUI arrest. Subject was arrested and booked without incident.
