Below are select incidents from the Truckee Police Department's press log for Oct. 7-20, along with previously unreported incidents.

October 7

Officers took a report of vandalism to a parked vehicle.

Original investigation regarding a vehicle break in determined five total vehicle break-ins on Martis Valley Road.

October 8

Vehicle was towed for blocking a fire hydrant on Snowpeak Way.

Victim reported having money stolen from her wallet when she left it in a shopping cart on Deerfield Road. The victim returned to the location later and recovered her wallet and noticed cash was missing. Report was taken.

October 10

Suspect and victim are boyfriend and girlfriend and have a child in common. The suspect grabbed the victim by the arm and forcefully pulled her away from a bystander. The suspect was arrested and booked into Nevada County Jail.

Officers documented a neighbor dispute.

Officers reported non-injury vehicle collision.

October 11

Officers responded to a residence for a death investigation. Nothing suspicious was noted. Report was taken.

Suspect threw a bottle at victim's window breaking the window. Report was taken.

Reporting party found a wallet on the side of the road and turned it into the Truckee Police Department.

Officers reported single vehicle collision with minor injuries.

October 12

Vehicle was stopped for vehicle code violation and the driver was arrested for DUI.

Subject stopped breathing after a short period of labored breathing. Medical staff arrived on scene and provided care until time of death. The subject was found to have numerous prior heart and health conditions. Nothing appeared suspicious.

Vehicle was stopped for vehicle code violations. The driver was on probation for DUI. Investigation revealed the driver was under the influence of alcoholic beverage in violation of his probation. The driver was arrested and issued a citation for probation violation.

Officers documented an altercation that occurred at Pop Warner football games. Report was taken for information only.

Victim accused suspect of rape. Through investigation the allegations were unfounded. Report was taken for documentation only.

October 14

Officers responded to location regarding a trailer that was parked in the town of Truckee right-of-way, obstructing a construction project. The area had been signed for over 24 hours and the owner had been repeatedly warned to move the trailer. Upon arrival, officer gave the owner additional 30 minutes to remove the trailer and he refused. The trailer was towed.

Reporting party contacted law enforcement after his wife returned to their residence to collect some personal belongings. There have been past domestic violence incidents between the two; however, there are not any current restraining orders. Both parties were advised the situation was a civil problem.

Driver was stopped due to involvement in possible crime. The vehicle he was driving was determined to be falsely registered. The vehicle owner was located, cited and released.

Physical domestic violence altercation resulted in visible injury to the victim and subsequent arrest of the female party.

October 16

Counter report was taken for a found wallet on Glenshire Drive by the trail head. The wallet was booked into evidence for safe keeping.

A local tow company attempted to tow a vehicle from Union Pacific Railroad property, per Union's request. The owner returned during the tow and assaulted the tow truck driver. Officers responded and kept the peace regarding the tow issue. The tow truck driver desired to pursue a citizen's arrest. The vehicle owner was cited and released for battery.

October 17

A juvenile reported being hit by her father. Report was taken for information and Child Protective Services is involved and working with the family.

Phone report was taken for traffic complaint on Martis Drive.

October 18

Vehicle was stopped for vehicle code violations and the driver was arrested for DUI.

Vehicle was stopped for vehicle code violations. The driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested and booked without incident.

Man was stopped by officers for no license plate. The man was on probation and consented to a search of his vehicle. Officers seized a small quantity of alcohol from the man, which was in violation of his probation. Report will be forwarded to the probation department.

Vehicle was stopped for vehicle code violations. The driver was on DMV court probation and was found to have a BAC above 0.01, however was not impaired. Form was filled out and the subject was released to friend to drive until she was under legal limit.

October 19

Vehicle was stopped for vehicle code violations and the driver was arrested for DUI.

October 20

Parked vehicle was struck by other vehicle. The damage was consistent. The owner admitted to driving intoxicated the previous night.

Information report was taken for an argument between two parties on a walking trail that resulted in the reporting party's car to be covered in an unknown liquid.

Officers took an informational report of marijuana related activity on White Fir Trail.

Driver involved in an injury collision was arrested for DUI.

Officers reported vehicle collision: truck vs. motorcycle. One party was transported to the hospital.
