Truckee Police Logs: Man pulls gun, arrested for felony assault
TRUCKEE, Calif. — Below are select incidents from the Truckee Police Department’s press log for Nov. 1-8.

People arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

At 9:18 a.m. on Schussing Way, officers responded to a report that a vehicle drove off the road and crashed into a tree on Oct. 30, and the owner stated she would have the vehicle removed, which was not the case, so the car was towed.
At 3:57 p.m. on Manchester Drive, narcotics were located in the woods. They are turned over for destruction.
At 5:11 a.m. at Evansham Placer, a driver collided with a mailbox and telephone pole, then fled the scene without providing information to nearby property owners. Police later contacted the suspect and forwarded the case to the DA’s office for prosecution.
At 9:30 a.m. on Ridge Road, a victim reported an unknown suspect had “cut a slit in her company vehicle” sometime over the past few days. Information report taken.
At 7:57 a.m., officers took a report that a vehicle was vandalized.
At 10:50 a.m. on Donner Pass Road, a suspect was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance.
At 6:13 p.m. on Star Pine Road, a subject was contacted after found prowling and threatening residents. While being detained, the subject resisted and fled the scene. Subject was later contacted at his residence and arrested for resisting arrest and an out-of-county warrant.
At 12:28 a.m. on Donner Pass Road, an altercation between two parties resulted in a firearm being exhibited and threats being made. A male suspect — Robert John Pivin, 69, of Tracy, Calif. — was located and arrested and booked on two felony charges of assault with a firearm and criminal threats.
At 10:47 a.m., a Donner Pass Road business reported a counterfeit $20 bill had been passed.
At 3:06 p.m. on Denton Avenue, a home owner reported an unknown suspect stole a TV from their rental property.
At 5:30 p.m. on Brockway Road, officers responded to a report of a reckless driver who was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol and was arrested for DUI.
At 11:27 p.m., a subject “acting strangely” was determined to have outstanding warrants from El Dorado County and was arrested.
