Truckee Police Logs: Parents (yes, parents) kicked off school grounds for fighting
TRUCKEE, Calif. — Below are select incidents compiled from the Truckee Police Department’s online press log for March 15-29.
At 8:45 a.m. on Donner Trail Road, a suspect was arrested after he allegedly brandished a knife at family members.
At 8:39 p.m. at an undisclosed location, a parent called to report a juvenile child had used marijuana.
At 9:02 p.m. at an undisclosed location, a male subject was allegedly involved in a hit and run collision. He was contacted and arrested on suspicion of DUI.
At 9:09 a.m. on Donner Pass Road, a subject was arrested after allegedly violating a domestic violence restraining order. The subject also was found to have an out of county warrant and was booked on both
At 3:30 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, a suspected child abuse report forwarded to TPD resulted in the arrest of the juvenile’s father on suspicion of child abuse and parole violation charges.
At 9:22 a.m., two parents got into a physical fight at a Donner Pass Road school while dropping their children off. Both were cited and released for fighting on school grounds; their permission to be on school grounds was removed by TTUSD.
At 1:17 p.m., a subject was arrested for assault on Northwoods Boulevard.
At 7:45 p.m. at an undisclosed location, a domestic verbal dispute resulted in a physical altercation between two unrelated parties. No prosecution desired.
At 9:10 a.m. at a bank on Donner Pass Road, an employee called to report an intoxicated subject was inside the business. The subject was found inside a different business nearby and was arrested for drunk in public.
At 9:54 a.m. on Donner Pass Road, a report was taken for unauthorized purchases on a company credit card.
At 10:19 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, a subject was arrested for drunk in public.
At 11:30 a.m., officers took a report from a man who said his estranged girlfriend who he had not seen in a year had vandalized his residence.
At 6:54 p.m. on Deerfield Drive, an information report was taken of a verbal altercation between a man and his girlfriend’s father.
At 8:40 p.m. on Keiser Avenue, officers took a report of a domestic dispute involving an alleged violation of a domestic violence restraining order.
At 3:52 p.m., police responded to a report of a fight on an Amtrak bus on Donner Pass Road. One subject was arrested for an out of state warrant.
At 4:07 p.m. on Fairway Drive, a psychical altercation ensued between family members — a husband and wife, and the wife’s oldest daughter — over a cellphone. The male fled prior to police arrival. Case forwarded to the DA’s office for review.
At 10:56 a.m. on Brockway Road, graffiti was discovered on park property.
