Truckee Police Logs: Son angrily hurls football at father’s head

TRUCKEE, Calif. — Below are select incidents compiled from the Truckee Police Department’s online press log for March 29 to April 12.

March 29

At 8:19 p.m. on Mougle Lane, a victim was physically abused by her boyfriend. The man was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence.



March 30

At 10:47 a.m. on Whitehorse Road, a husband and wife were involved in a verbal altercation, escalating into a physical altercation. The female was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence.



At 1:28 p.m. on Jeffery Pine Road, witnesses observed a male and female in a physical altercation in the street. Both subjects fled prior to officers’ arrival; however, the vehicle they were in was located. An investigation resulted in the male subject being arrested on suspicion of domestic violence.

At 6:52 p.m., a victim on Star Pine Road reported an unknown suspect had used the victim’s information to open a cellphone account.

At 9:41 p.m. on Cedar Trail, a husband and wife were involved in a verbal domestic dispute. Information report taken.

March 31

At 2:25 a.m. at an undisclosed location, a subjected telephoned police for help finding his residence. Upon contact, the man was found intoxicated and unable to care for himself; he was arrested on suspicion of drunk in public.

April 1

At 12:58 a.m. on Skislope Way, a husband and wife were involved in a domestic dispute. Information report taken.

At 9:21 a.m. on Olympic Drive, officers took a report that an unknown suspect had entered the open window of a house and stole a drill.

At 9:45 a.m. on Coburn Drive, A father and son got into a minor physical altercation after the son threw a football in anger at his dad’s head. Information report taken.

April 3

At 1:15 a.m. at an undisclosed location, a vehicle was stopped, and the driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

April 5

At 3:26 p.m. on Northwoods Boulevard, officers took a report of a subject allegedly under the influence of narcotics and causing a disturbance with a knife. An investigation determine the subject was not under the influence, and no crime had been committed. Information report taken.

At 6:52 p.m., a victim on Keiser Avenue reported an unknown suspect had obtained the victim’s bank information and used it to make several purchases in Texas, depleting the victim’s account.

April 7

At 10:51 p.m. on Martis Valley Road, a boyfriend and girlfriend were involved in a domestic dispute. Information report taken.

April 9

At 12:10 a.m. at an undisclosed location, an officer observed two subjects involved in an argument when it turned physical. It was determined they were in a live-in dating relationship; one suspect was arrested.

April 10

At 11:16 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, a subject called 911 to report a vehicle was following him. He was found riding a motorized shopping cart apparently stolen from a nearby business. He was arrested on suspicion of grand theft.
