Truckee Police Logs: Subject assaults man with TV remote control
Below are select incidents from the Truckee Police Department’s press log for March 9-26.

7:23 am: Two-vehicle collision with no injuries; one of the parties fled the scene without exchanging insurance information. Report taken.
2:04 pm, Highway 89: Graffiti was reported on the Squaw Valley billboard near The Mousehole.
3:25 am, Donner Pass Road: Report of an ex-boyfriend causing a disturbance. Upon arrival, the parties separated. Report taken.
11:29 am, Canterbury Lane: Theft of mail and attempted use of inactivated credit card. Report taken.
1 pm, Donner Pass Road: A juvenile was found in possession of drug paraphernalia.
8:46 pm, Donner Pass Road: A residents reported being threatened via social media.
8:58 pm: An arrest was made after a domestic violence incident between boyfriend and girlfriend.
2:17 am: Subject arrested for drunk in public.
6:35 pm, Brunswick Road: A suspect was cited for furnishing alcohol to minors.
3:56 am, Donner Pass Road. Stolen vehicle was occupied by 2 subjects. Driver was arrested for auto theft and DUI-drugs. Passenger was arrested for being under the influence of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
6:20 pm, Deerfield Drive: Subject was causing a disturbance and arrested for drunk in public.
10:04 am, Worchester Circle: Subject reported being victim of identity theft. Most of the activity on victim’s account originated in San Francisco. Case forwarded to SFPD.
11:16 am, Highland Avenue: Victim of ID theft contacted TPD to file a report.
9:32 pm: A domestic altercation resulted in a suspect striking the victim with a TV remote control, punching him and damaging his vehicle prior to fleeing the scene.
10:45 pm: Vehicle fled from officers during traffic stop. Follow-up investigation revealed rear license plate was stolen off a vehicle in Lodi.
12:57 am: A “belligerent and hostile” subject was kicked out of a cab and arrested for drunk in public.
8:44 pm: Driver stopped for code violations was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol. Driver was cited and released at the scene.
12:15 am, Donner Pass Road: Officers observed 2 subjects in possession of a controlled substance. Both were arrested.
1:53 am: Vehicle stopped for erratic driving. Driver arrested for DUI.
1:59 am: A vehicle was stopped for traveling in the wrong lane and without headlights. Driver arrested for DUI.
9:32 pm, Donner Pass Road: Officers responded to a report of a physical disturbance at a bar. One of the involved parties request a citizen arrest for misdemeanor battery. Suspect was located and arrested without incident.
12:52 am, Donner Pass Road: Subject was asked to leave a bar and he refused. Upon being escorted out, subject assaulted the bouncer. Bouncer signed a citizen arrest form, and suspect was arrested.
1:10 am, Coldstream Road: Subject left jewelry in a hotel room after checking out; hotel staff was unable to locate it.
1:48 am: Vehicle stopped for code violations. Driver arrested for DUI.
2:04 pm, Solvang Way: Officers contacted a victim of identity fraud in the TPD lobby.
4:36 pm: Driver stopped for code violations and was arrested for DUI.
4:13 pm, Trails End Road: Victim reported a suspect used his ID/personal information during the commission of a crime. Case forwarded to DA’s office.
6:40 pm, Icknield Way: Officers assisted Truckee Fire in responding to a medical emergency. Victim suffered head trauma and was Care-flighted to Renown in Reno.
7:42 pm, Donner Pass Road: Suspect who was trying to fight bar patrons was arrested for drunk in public.
12:18 pm: Suspect found staggering in the roadway was arrested for drunk in public.
13:13 pm, Bridge Street: Drunk female found unable to care for herself was arrested for drunk in public.
6:04 pm, Deerfield Drive: Officers assisted Truckee Fire while putting out a structure fire at a local business.
3 pm, Donner Pass Road: Information report taken for “numerous locations being vandalized.”
1:46 pm, Deerfield Drive: A local story reported they interrupted a suspected theft of alcohol. Report taken.
9:28 pm, Jeffery Pine Road: An intoxicated female was transported to Tahoe Forest Hospital for an alcohol overdose.
11:18 am, Barnes Drive: A dog nipped the thumb of a child, causing minor injury. Report taken.
9:38 pm, Donner Pass Road: Driver of a vehicle was arrested for DUI after being involved in a single-vehicle, rollover collision. Driver was not hurt, but property damage occurred to a brick wall.

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — A suspect in a series of home burglaries and attempted home invasion robbery was arrested this weekend after a long standoff with authorities in Incline Village.
