Truckee Police logs: Suspect has paranoid delusions of people trying to kill him

Below are select incidents from the Truckee Police Department’s press log for May 26 to June 8, along with previously unreported incidents.

May 26

A victim on West River Street alleged she was assaulted and threaten by her boyfriend. The suspected was located and arrested.

A suspect was arrested for being drunk in public on Donner Pass Road.

May 28

An unknown suspect entered a home on Alder Drive and ransacked a room. Victim suspects it was an ex-wife upset over child custody.

May 30

Injured deer dispatched on Donner Pass Road.

May 31

A report was request regarding unwanted driveway usage on Alder Creek Road.

June 1

Officers responded to an alarm activation on Ghirard Road. The arrestee who was a construction worker was responsible for setting off the alarm had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant and was arrested.

Victim reported theft of property from a locked vehicle. No suspect information.

June 2

A teacher at a school on Donner Pass Road reported getting an unusual text message on her cellphone.

Two wallets found at the post office were returned to the Police Department for safekeeping.

June 3

Vehicle vs. bicycle collision with moderate injuries.

Victim reported theft of wallet from “lake shore” area. No suspect information.

June 4

A bike was found abandoned at a local business on Church Street. Owner unknown.

A woman on Stony Creek Court called police to report her husband was intoxicated and she feared for his safety. During contact, an investigation determined a domestic batter occurred and the husband was arrested and transported to jail without incident.

June 5

An officer located a wanted subject on a warrant. The subject attempts to flee, but the subject was quickly caught and arrested.

Two-vehicle accident with “complaint of pain.”

June 6

Vehicle was sopped on West River St. Driver was arrested for DUI.

Officers responded to a report of a driver in a vehicle slumped over hat the wheel for hours in front of a business on Northwoods Boulevard. Truckee Fire responded, and it was determined the person had a medical issue. Report taken.

Domestic violence occurred between a married male and female at Lighthill Place.

Officers and Truckee Fire responded to a reporter of a tree on fire due to suspected arson on Briar Circle. Fire was put out with minimal damage. No suspect.

A parent reported bullying issues between his daughter and another male classmate. Report taken.

June 7

Officers responded to Green Pasture Drive to a subject claiming to have paranoid delusions of people trying to kill him. Suspect was found wandering in the area, and the subject was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance.

June 8

A report was filed to document suspected theft by an employee at a business on Brockway Road.

A customer entered a store on Donner Pass Road demanding her property. The customer never had any property at the business and proceeded to make alleged death threats toward an employee.

A vehicle was stopped and the driver arrested for DUI.
