Truckee Police Logs: USPS worker, homeowner go at it over checked mail
TRUCKEE, Calif. — Below are select incidents from the Truckee Police Department’s online press log for June 21-28.
At 2:50 p.m. on Pine Cone Road, a male wanted to report a verbal argument he had with his where she allegedly made vague threats against him and his father. Information report taken.
At 8:50 p.m. on Sierra Drive, one female reported being assaulted by another female. The victim decided not to pursue charges. Information report taken.
At 3:08 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, a witness contacted police after she saw a child being disciplined at a local office. Information report taken.
At 5:21 a.m. on Dolomite Way, a subject was arrested on suspicion of drunk in public.
At 1:04 p.m., a found wallet was turned in for safekeeping. The owner was notified via Facebook.
At 10:33 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, a subject who had been kicked out of a downtown bar allegedly showed overt signs of drunkenness and was arrested on suspicion of drunk in public.
At 12:14 a.m. on Donner Pass Road, a subject was causing a disturbance at a local bar. The subject was contacted and moved along.
At 5:05 p.m. on Northwoods Boulevard, a suspect borrowed a car from the victim and allegedly refused to return it; case forwarded to the DA’s office.
At 8:58 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, an allegedly intoxicated subject was located passed out in the ground in front of a local business and was arrested on suspicion of drunk in public.
At 1 p.m. on Chatham Reach, officers took a report that a victim’s social security number was being used in New York.
At 1:36 p.m. at an undisclosed location, a U.S. Postal Service employee allegedly got into a physical altercation with another party after the male homeowner retrieved his mail before the cluster box was secured by the postal worker. Information report taken.
At 7:04 p.m. on Northwoods Boulevard, officers made an arrest after a victim and his girlfriend were allegedly batter by the man’s ex-wife and her father.
At 11:24 p.m., a boyfriend was arrested after he allegedly physically assaulted his girlfriend and falsely imprisoned her in their residence on Trout Creek Road. The man arrested — Gregg Eugene Rowland, 51, of Truckee — was booked in Nevada County Jail on suspicion of felony domestic violence and felony false imprisonment, as well as misdemeanor charges of preventing a person from making a 911 call and failing to register as a sex offender.
