Truckee Police logs: Women punch, kick woman suspected of having affair
Below are select incidents from the Truckee Police Department’s press log for February 10-17, along with previously unreported incidents.
Officers took a late report of hit and run non-injury collision on Donner Pass Road.
School called Truckee Police Department because they were concerned a student was under the influence of marijuana. Upon arrival, the student was uncooperative and left principal’s office. The student was subsequently pulled over into a business parking lot and stopped. A search of the student’s car found concentrated cannabis, marijuana, a scale and several other items. The student was arrested and released to a parent
Reporting party’s ex-boyfriend refused to leave her residence after a verbal argument on Heather Road. The ex-boyfriend was contacted at the residence and was spoken with about the reporting party desiring him to leave the residence. The ex-boyfriend agreed to leave and no further calls for service were generated.
Driver was stopped for expired vehicle registration exceeding 6 months. The driver was cited and his vehicle was towed.
Juvenile found in possession of marijuana and several cigarette lighters. The juvenile was cited and released to parents.
Victim was assaulted by two females, who entered her apartment through an unlocked sliding glass door on Martis Valley Road. The females believed the victim was having an affair with one of the females’ husband. The victim was punched and scratched in the head and kicked in the side. The victim desires prosecution.
Subject lost his backpack, containing wallet, keys and ID.
Reporting party from local youth organization called to report a child was unaccounted for. The child was later found and the incident report was taken for documentation only.
Vehicle was stopped for vehicle code violation on the freeway. Officers found illegal drugs in the vehicle. The driver was cited for vehicle code violation and illegal drugs.
Victim reported theft of log splitter from the front deck of his residence on Lausanne Way. There is no suspect information. Report was taken for information only.
Reporting party contacted the police after her sister-in law posted photos on Facebook of injuries resulting from a domestic violence incident a month ago. The case was forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review.
Truckee Police canine assisted CHP with a narcotics trafficking investigation. A positive canine alert let to the discovery of bulk narcotics. One suspect was arrested for drug trafficking charges.
Vehicle drove onto a service road and got stuck. The vehicle almost slid down hillside and had to have tow truck remove it.
Truckee Police Canine Unit assisted CHP with a narcotics trafficking investigation. A positive canine alert let to the discovery of bulk narcotics. Two suspects were arrested by CHP for drug trafficking charges.
Reporting party called to report an unknown subject was drunk and banging on her front door attempting to enter. Upon officers’ arrival, the subject was found to be heavily intoxicated and unable to care for himself. The subject was subsequently arrested and transported to Nevada County Sheriff’s Office without further incident.
A suspect broke victim’s driver’s side mirror on her vehicle.
A student was found to be in possession of alcohol on school grounds. In addition, the student had marijuana paraphernalia in her possession. The juvenile was cited and released.
Counter report was taken for found credit card holder with numerous credit cards in it. Report was taken for information only.
Officers documented a verbal altercation between neighbors on Rue Ivy.
Unknown subject wrote “UHel” on victim’s car window in washable paint. No damage.
Officers contacted a group of people discharging fireworks at Donner Lake. One of the subjects was cited and released for possession of dangerous fireworks.
Subject was contacted after being unable to give a taxi driver his address due to his intoxication. The subject was arrested and held until he could be released.
Vehicle was stopped for vehicle code violation. The driver was found to have been driving under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested and booked for DUI.
Subject attempted to enter a residence on Glenshire Drive while very intoxicated. Subject resisted officers and became an immediate threat. Taser was deployed; subject was arrested.
Subject went to residence of ex violating a restraining order. The subject was found pulling into his residence. The subject was arrested for violation of the restraining order and DUI.
