Davis, Duncan "Buzz"

Duncan “Buzz” Davis passed away peacefully on Feb. 22 at his home in Carmichael, Calif., at the age of 82. Buzz will always be remembered by his adoring family, friends and community as a loving, gentle person whose greatest joy was bringing happiness, humor and acceptance to the many people whose lives he touched.

A fourth-generation Californian and a lifelong resident of North Lake Tahoe, Buzz realized his dream of creating a vacation home resort community when he developed the area known as Agate Bay. Decades of residents and visitors will never forget summer days spent enjoying recreation on the shores of Lake Tahoe.

In addition to his business life, he had been an avid skier, both water and snow, spent countless hours in his home library and loved nothing more than spending time with his family.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Lenore; loving children Brant and Mary Hoffmann; Dana and Dennis Gray; and Duncan and Jessica Davis; and nine grand-children and one great-grandson who are sustained by the gratitude and privilege of having had this wonderful, amazing man in their lives.

Friends are invited to a memorial service on Sunday, March 11 at 11 a.m. at the North Tahoe Hebrew Congregation in Tahoe Vista, Calif. The family asks that donations be made to Sutter VNA Hospice, 1836 Sierra Gardens Drive, Suite 160, Roseville, CA, 95661.
