Disc golf, new field on rec meeting agenda

Staff Reports

A regular meeting of the Truckee-Donner Recreation and Park District’s Board of Directors will meet tonight at 6:30 at the Truckee Community Center downtown.

Unfinished business items on the agenda include:

– discussion of employee compensation and benefit study

– discussion of a new field at Sierra Mountain Middle School

– discussion of fields in the PC-2 area

– approval of bids for a utility vehicle for field maintenance

– discussion of disc golf at regional park

New business items include:

– signature cards for bank accounts

– wish list for Hewlett Foundation to include dimensions, if possible

General Manager Steve Randall said there is a need for a new field at SMMS, and the new one will be adjacent to the existing one.

He also said progress on the disc golf course is moving along, with a tentative opening in the middle of summer.

As well, the employee compensation committee and skateboard park committee will give reports to the board.

There will be a closed session after additional matters of interest are heard.

The community center is at 10046 Church Street downtown.
