Staff reportsWant to know whether you will have to pay to park in downtown Truckee?Go to Truckee Town Hall Wednesday, July 21 at 6 p.m. to discuss solutions to parking problems in Truckee’s commercial core. Paid parking, employee parking, residential permits, in-lieu fees and a property-based assessment district will be among the issues discussed at the meeting.The town spent almost $60,000 to study solutions aimed at solving parking congestion in Truckee’s historic heart. The study says that downtown merchants currently lose between 10 to 15 percent in business because of inadequate parking.The final draft of the Truckee Downtown Parking Study will be the basis of discussion at the meeting.Several drafts of the document will be available at the meeting for review.
