Downtown Truckee’s Passport to Savings

Seth Lightcap/Sierra SunSelect shops in downtown Truckee will stay open late Thursday evening giving shoppers extra time to finish their holiday shopping locally.

Festivities continue each Thursday, Friday and Saturday during December with the Truckee Holiday Passport to Savings. Area businesses are offering coupons and discounts redeemable with the passport which can be picked up free at the Truckee Donner Visitor Center located at 10065 Donner Pass Road. Participants are invited to enter a drawing that will be held Dec. 26, 2008. Prizes totaling more than $800 in gift certificates from participating merchants will be awarded on Dec. 26, 2008.

Gentlemen, start your shopping and get your gifts wrapped at Men’s Night, Dec. 18, with free gift wrapping, beer, wine and snacks.

Businesses will remain open until 8 p.m. each Thursday, Friday and Saturday during the month of December.
