DUI checkpoint set for May 15

TRUCKEE ” Truckee area law enforcement agencies are planning DUI and driver’s license checkpoints on Friday, May 15.

Truckee Police, California Highway Patrol, and Grass Valley Police are ramping up their efforts for the summer tourist season. The planned checkpoint will screen drivers for driving under the influence and having valid drivers licenses, according to a press release. Truckee Police will also run a “Click it or Ticket” campaign between May 18 and 31 aggressively enforcing seatbelt laws.
