Dwayne Dopsie and the Zydeco Hellraisers to headline at Tahoe Donner
TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. — Dwayne Dopsie and the Zydeco Hellraisers from New Orleans will take the stage July 27 at Tahoe Donner’s Summer Concert on the Green.
Jelly Bread and the Buddy Emmer Blues Band join the “King of Accordian” with performances starting at 4 p.m. Doors open at 3 p.m.
True to the roots of Zydeco, Dwayne and his band create a sound and energy with roots in Southern Louisiana, blending Cajun beats with rhythm-and-blues. The band features a washboard player, saxophonist, two guitarists, a drummer and accordionist and singer Dwayne (Dopsie) Rubin, who was named “America’s Hottest Accordionist” in an American Accordionists’ Association contest.

Buddy Emmer and his Blues band have been a long-time favorite for 15 years on the West Coast and Northern Nevada circuit. They are a versatile party band playing blues from the 1930s up to modern day styles.
