Applications sought for $112K in Tahoe-Truckee nonprofit funding
INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — The Lahontan Community Foundation’s 2016 grant cycle is now open to nonprofit organizations directly serving the Truckee-North Tahoe region.
Over the years, LCF has provided essential funding to the arts, education, environment, animal welfare and human services. This year, LCF will award up to $112,000 to nonprofits.
“Our mission is to bring the Lahontan Community together to have fun and raise as much money as we can to support local community programs and organizations making a difference in the Truckeee-ahoe community,” said Virginia Donica, past president of the Lahontan Community Foundation (LCF).
Applications are due via email to email@example.com no later than 4 p.m. on March 11, 2016.
LCF was formed in 2002 by the members, residents and employees of the Lahontan Golf Club and Community who believe that the privilege they share of living, working and playing at Lahontan also brings a responsibility to give back to the larger local community that they all enjoy so much.
“The Lahontan Community Foundation celebrated its 14th year of fundraising in 2015 and has raised over $1.5 million,” said Colleen Chapman, LCF President. “We have helped more than 75 local non-profit organizations and community programs and look forward to many more years of grant making now with the help of Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation.”
The Lahontan Community Foundation is a committee advised fund, held at the Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation. Donations to the LCF Fund are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
