INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — John J. McLaughlin, CFO for Edgewood Companies, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation.

Each member of Parasol’s Board demonstrates a high level of commitment to the Tahoe Region and is personally involved in community outreach.

As a CPA with over 30 years of experience in the hotel, casino and entertainment industry, John is familiar with the Tahoe Region.

Prior to joining Edgewood Companies he was CFO for Penn National’s newly developed Hollywood Casino Toledo and served on the Board of BLB Worldwide Holdings, Inc. as Chairman of the Audit Committee.

“John’s accounting expertise and background will be strong assets on Parasol’s Board,” said David Hardie, chairman of the Parasol board. “His strong strategic consulting knowledge of commercial/investment banks and private investment funds will be invaluable serving on our Investment Committee.”

Tahoe’s recreational lifestyle appeals to John and his entire family. His favorite pastimes are golf and skiing, and living in the Stateline area, he is able to accommodate both passions — not to mention enjoy some of the best views in the country.

He also has a deep sense of caring for the environment of the Tahoe Basin and supports charitable organizations that serve the entire Tahoe Basin.

“I found Parasol to be a well-run charitable organization,” said John. “It is a good fit with my background and I can add to the very qualified and focused board.”
