On Thursday, Oct. 1, the Tahoe Truckee Excellence in Education Foundation hosted its annual recognition event at PlumpJack in Squaw Valley.

The event is a celebration of donors, Fellow and Star award recipients and Foundation accomplishments.

Approximately 200 people attended the event and enjoyed entertainment by a North Tahoe High jazz trio. During the 2014-2015 fiscal year, Excellence in Education funded over $260,000 in grants to the teachers and programs of the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District.
