Camp Explore, an affordable youth summer camp offered by Tahoe Family Solutions, is scheduled fro June 29 to Aug. 7 this summer.
Meaningful, fun and active outdoor activities that get kids away from the TV and outdoors is what Camp Explore is all about — registration has opened and applications are being accepted for all staff positions.
Camp Explore is open to all children in first- through fifth-grades, regardless of economic ability, and sliding fee rates are available for families that qualify.
Running 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Incline Elementary School, Camp Explore will include activities such as overnight camping, paddleboarding, hiking, environmental stewardship days, and even a multi-night backpacking trip for the fifth-grade campers.
All activities are focused on education, leadership development, nature appreciation, and, of course, fun.
To register your children, visit tahoefamily.org or call 775-298-0004 and speak to Camp Director Sharon Silva.
Staff positions are available at Camp Explore, including Assistant Camp Director, Trip Leader, Counselor, and Camp Cook. To apply, visit tahoefamily.org and download a staff application.
Community support for Camp Explore helps to ensure this program is affordable to all children who wish to attend. To make a tax deductible contribution, visit tahoefamily.org.
