Sierra College presents 31st annual Honors Band concert

On Friday, Dec. 6, Sierra College Wind Ensembles hosted 80 of the top local high school musicians in the area. The selected musicians representing the Truckee High School Band were Sam Shaffer, clarinet; Jessie Howard, clarinet; Nicole Pendleton, clarinet; Devon Kim, trombone; Dax Mortarex, percussion; Zach Yamauchi, bassoon; and JP Eikam, piccolo).

Works performed included “Dreamland” by Michael Markowski, Philip Sparke’s “Masquerade,” “Xerxes,” by John Mackey, and Daniel Kallman’s “A Visit With Old Joe.”
