INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — On Saturday, Oct. 17, Sierra Nevada College honored long-time Lake Tahoe resident and SNC Tahoe community member Lane Murray with its first Distinguished Alumni Award.
More than 145 alumni and community members attended the Saturday evening ceremony in the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Ballroom, which was part of the College’s Third Annual 2015 Homecoming and Family Weekend.
This brand new award is given to a distinguished SNC alumnus or to a community member who has given outstanding service on behalf of the alumni of SNC Tahoe.
Murray was a fitting first recipient for this prestigious new award: In her 22 year-long career at the college, she worked tirelessly on behalf of both the students and alumni in various roles, including Director of Admissions, Dean of Students, and Director of Parent and Alumni Relations.
Throughout the years, Murray has been beloved by students and Alumni alike for her dedication.
