KINGS BEACH, Calif. — Tahoe Expedition Academy is hosting a Winter Expo on Saturday, March 7, from 4-7 p.m. at Diamond Peak Ski Resort.

The free SnowFest! event will feature hands-on, interactive snow-based activities such as dog-sled riding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, wilderness survival skills, snow-shelter making, snow sculpturing, avalanche preparedness and more, according to a press release.

Entertainment will be provided from 4-6 p.m. by the two-man band Guitar Town, and food will be available for purchase from Diamond Peak.

Brimm’s A Catering Co. is donating homemade soup for the event; all proceeds will go to Project MANA. Further, TEA sixth-grade students will sell homemade, eco-friendly sandwich bags to raise money for the Pet Network Humane Society.
