Tahoe-Truckee Golfing for Schools cards on sale soon

The Tahoe Truckee Excellence in Education Foundation’s 2015 Golfing for Schools cards go on sale Saturday, April 18.

The $325 transferable cards re valid for 18 holes of play at seven regional golf courses: Coyote Moon, Northstar, Old Greenwood, Resort at Squaw Creek, Tahoe City, Tahoe Donner and Gray’s Crossing.

“If you were to pay for 18 holes of golf at each course independently, you could easily spend over $500,” explains Laura Abbey Brown, executive director of the foundation. “Not only are the cards a terrific deal, golfers are also helping support Tahoe Truckee schools.”

The Golfing for Schools program is a primary fundraising program of the Excellence in Education Foundation, a nonprofit that enhances public education within the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District.

Each year, the Foundation raises money and provides grants, resources and partnerships to benefit students, teachers and the educational community as a whole.

There is an eight-card, per-person purchase limit, and additional restrictions do apply. Only a limited number of passes are available; cards will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Purchase your card on the opening weekend and be entered into a drawing for a twosome of golf at Lahontan or Ponderosa Golf Course in Truckee. Call Excellence in Education at 530-550-7984 or visit ExinEd.org for more information.
