Tahoe-Truckee Lib Loop: Bidding farewell to a great librarian

Branch Manager of the Truckee Library, Lucinda Delorimier, is retiring. Lucinda has been a progressive, involved, community-minded manager.

She worked hard to promote useful programs such as financial planning, Chautauqua-style events highlighting local history, and helped promote a variety of children’s programming for the community, all the while providing friendly service and maintaining the library collection.

Lucinda began her library career 16 years ago as a story time volunteer, she received a Master’s in Library and Information Science in 2006, and eventually worked her way through all of the Nevada County Library branches in a variety of roles.

Lucinda represents the ideal of the librarian. She provides crucial services to all members of the community, with intelligence and kindness.

Her dedication to the community and its needs will be missed but we celebrate her good work and wish her well in her new endeavors! You will be able to find Lucinda, a professional Story Teller, at festivals across the west.
