Tahoe-Truckee school district appoints new Deputy Chief Learning Officer
The Tahoe Truckee Unified School District has a new Deputy Chief Learning Officer in Educational Services.
The Board of Trustees recently appointed Fal Asrani to the position.
Asrani’s role, according to TTUSD, will be to provide leadership and oversight of all educational programs that impact teaching and learning for students, and to work closely with staff on instructional strategies and staff development.
She will also serve as the superintendent’s primary designee.
Currently, Asrani serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education at the Pasadena Unified School District.
Previously, she was the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services for the Campbell Union High School District, and an Administrator of Secondary School Redesign in Antioch.
She has served as a principal of two high schools and was formerly a special education teacher.
Asrani will replace Executive Director of Educational Services Dave Curry, who is leaving TTUSD to become superintendent of the Union Hill School District in Grass Valley.
