Tequila tasting fundraiser on tap for Tahoe nonprofit

Join the Tahoe Institute for Natural Science for a fun evening of sampling sipping tequila and dining on delicious food on Feb. 27 at a private residence on Lakeshore Boulevard in Incline Village.
TINS will guide a tasting of four tequilas that provide a sampling of blanco, reposado and anejo with their herbal tones and the complex notes that come from aged tequila.
The tequilas will be accompanied by a four-course meal designed to complement the flavors of the evening, with a mole-rubbed flat iron steak with a tequila-cumin reduction sauce as the main course (vegetarian option available).
Certified Spirits Specialist Evan Fletcher will lead the tasting after he conducted a fun and informative scotch tasting in 2015. He is an engaging tequila enthusiast, bringing over 10 years of experience in the spirits industry.
The sipping tequilas of the evening are: Milagro Select Barrel, Fortaleza Blanco, Fortaleza Reposado and Fortaleza Anejo.
Evan will also make a tequila cocktail to begin the evening.

There are two levels of tickets for the evening. The "Red-breasted Chat" includes the four tequilas, a tequila cocktail, and the four-course dinner, starting at 6:30 p.m. for $185.
The "Orange-breasted Bunting" also includes an exclusive tasting of Revel Spirits Organic Avilas, led Revel Spirits CEO Jacqui Thompson starting at 5:30 p.m. for $225.
