On Nov. 25-26, the Incline Highlander JROTC Battalion hosted its 16th annual Turkey Shoot.

At this event, participants shoot for a chance to win a turkey. The Highlander Battalion raised twice as much money as last year, $431, at the 2013 Turkey Shoot, all of which went toward the Incline High School Varsity Rifle Team.

This year, Oliver Larson, Autumn Resney and Karen Vargas were the three winners in their respective divisions.

The Highlanders would like to thank Eric Halstead from the Village Meats for donating the turkeys to this event — as he does every year — and all of the Incline High School students, teachers and Incline Village community members who came to shoot-it-out at this event.
