The Truckee Noon Rotary and The Truckee Sunrise Rotary have hosted the music contest for more than 20 years.

Senior Sarah Manthorpe on saxophone, freshman Avery Fournier on flute, and junior Colin Deurlington on piano performed for Rotary members at their weekly meeting.

Rotarians Nelson Van Gundy, Wes Beyer, Chip Huck, Kane Schaller and Randy House served as judges.

Duerlington took first place and Fournier placed second. They advance to the Rotary Area Contest on April 22 at Cornerstone Church at 300 Country Club Drive in Incline Village.

There they will compete with the top musicians from the Tahoe City and Incline Village rotary competitions.
