TAHOE CITY, Calif. — On Saturday, Dec. 14, Santa will make an appearance at the Tahoe City Winter Sports Park to hand out toys to children ages 9 and under.

This event, co-sponsored by the Tahoe City PUD Parks and Recreation Department as well as the Tahoe City Rotary Club, will also feature a free pancake breakfast, sledding, and more. The event is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and free to attend. Generally, about 250 toys are distributed. Parking is free and the venue has a view of Lake Tahoe.

Santa will arrive in a parade by North Tahoe Fire truck, with the North Tahoe High Jazz Band, under the instruction of Dean Nordby, playing holiday music as they arrive on a float, all escorted by the Placer County Sheriff Department. This is the first time the event will be held at the Tahoe City Winter Sports Park. Go on out and have a festive holiday with the kids.
