Election 2010: Dan Wilkins, Sue Daniels win Tahoe PUD seats

TRUCKEE/TAHOE, Calif. andamp;#8212; With some Nevada County results still outstanding as of 12:20 a.m. Wednesday, itandamp;#8217;s too early to predict winners in the following local races: Truckee Town Council, Truckee Tahoe Airport District, Truckee-Donner Recreation andamp; Parks District, Tahoe Forest Hospital District, Truckee Donner Public Utility District and Truckee Fire Protection District.Be sure to visit http://www.sierrasun.com throughout Wednesday for results as they come in.However, in Placer and El Dorado counties, the results are in, and according to semi-official results, Dan Wilkins (Tahoe City Public Utility District) and Sue Daniels (North Tahoe Public Utility District) have won seats on their respective boards.Wilkins easily defeated Robin Lewis for Tahoe City Public Utility District Seat 1, earning 63 percent of Placer County votes and 62 percent of El Dorado votes.The Sue Daniels-Phil Thompson race for North Tahoe Public Utility District Seat 1 was much closer, with Daniels taking it with a 52 percent to 48 percent win.
